Just a five-minute drive south of Rotorua, New Zealand, there is a vast and beautiful redwood forest, where there is a spectacular treetop walkway. The walkway is narrow, allowing only one person at a time, but it is exceptionally sturdy. The slight swaying adds an inexplicable sense of adventure. The treetop walkway is built between each circular platform, and upon reaching each platform, there are trivia and quiz games related to New Zealand's flora. Walking among these towering trees, one can also learn new knowledge from time to time. Up close with these giants, one feels insignificant, looking up along the ancient trees all the way to the blue sky, a world apart from the hustle and bustle of the city. The tranquility and peace instantly fill the body. Sitting on the platform's benches surrounded by the giant trees, with the chirping of birds in the ears, one feels that even without doing anything, just putting down the phone and the noise, it would be possible to spend an entire day here.

These Californian redwoods, planted in 1901, have thrived in volcanic soil and a humid climate for over a century, growing to heights of over 70 meters—a dialogue between nature and time. Walking along the suspension bridges, suspended among the treetops, I found myself on the Treewalk, a network of 27 platforms and 28 bridges spanning 700 meters and reaching heights of up to 20 meters. Immersed in this environment, it felt like being cradled by the giants of the forest. Information boards along the trails introduce the flora and Maori culture, allowing me not only to see the trees but also to hear the stories of the land. Opting for a nighttime stroll, the Nightlights experience transforms the forest into a sensory garden: dozens of designer lanterns hang amidst the trees, their soft glow interplaying with shadows, creating a fairytale-like atmosphere. My favorite part was the section of the bridge that rises above the forest canopy. Looking down, I saw New Zealand's lush fern vegetation and the vibrant greenery of the forest floor. A gentle breeze carried the natural fragrance of resin and blossoms. After the rain, the forest becomes even more enchanting, with tree trunks and fern leaves radiating a vivid green vitality. The Treewalk can be completed in just 40 minutes, but longer trails like the Redwood Memorial Grove Track (2 km) and Pohaturoa Track (7.5 km) offer deeper exploration of the forest and panoramic views of the Rotorua Valley. Whether you're seeking photography opportunities, a tranquil retreat, or a family adventure, this place offers a feast for the senses and a breath of fresh forest air.

Rotorua, a geothermal city on the North Island of New Zealand, is replete with geothermal resources throughout the city and is a major residential area for the Maori people. Don't miss these highlights! 📍Geothermal Park, a must-visit! Don't miss the hot spring performance at 10:15! It's recommended to arrive at 9:30, as it takes time to get tickets and park. Park tickets are cheaper on Ctrip than on-site, and it takes about 5-10 minutes to issue tickets. The entire geothermal park takes about 4 hours of walking + photography, with the most distinctive features being the geothermal lake in the video and the green lake at the end, which is super super green 📍Redwood Forest (Daytime) Several free hiking routes, about 2 hours 📍Redwood Forest Light Show (after 6:30PM) Paid, around 50 New Zealand dollars, recommended around 7 PM, as it's too early if it's still light out, and parking gets difficult later. A must-visit! 📍Mud Bath at Hell'sGate 85 New Zealand dollars per person, includes a 20-minute hot spring mud bath and unlimited natural hot springs, very fun 📍Accommodation, I chose a park campsite, the rooms are average, quite affordable, with a kitchen, and also a free hot spring (check when booking), a bath after a day of fun, and a very good sleep 📍Kiwi National Conservation Center, now merged with a farm, visited in a Tour format, Kiwi is New Zealand's national bird, worth a visit as a tourist spot

It is an experience where you can walk on the Redwood Track by connecting a track to a tree called Redwood! Usually, people visit the Redwood Track during the day to enjoy the forest and see the trees, but at night, you can see many works and lights along the walking trail under the name of night opening!! Unfortunately, I arrived at night and couldn't capture the forest scenery, but I was able to see the works of the indigenous Maori people of New Zealand made with plants and lights on the tree! It was a different feeling to walk in the forest with lights, and on an aerial track.🥰 If you pay for the night opening, you can enter the next day for free during the day!
