📍South Island, New Zealand. Wanaka|You will regret it if you don’t go-Rob Roy Glacier Trail
New Zealand has standard beautiful scenery: blue sky, white clouds, mountains, snow, glaciers, sheep, cattle, villages, wooden houses and streams.
New Zealand can be said to be the home of glaciers in the Southern Hemisphere. Here, there are glaciers at an altitude of only 300 meters. Next to the glaciers is a tropical rainforest. Such a unique landscape is unique on earth.
The ruins formed by glaciers are everywhere, and their crystal clear light and magnificent momentum are enough to make people intoxicated.

Wanaka has many beautiful short trails, such as ROYS PEAK, MT IRON, Isthmus Peak, etc.
There is a very popular trail in Wanaka
"Rob Roy Track"
🏔Rob Roy Track
Length: 10KM round trip
Time: 3-4 hours
Difficulty: easy
One hour drive from Wanaka,
Through this trail, you will enter an incredible place:
There are mountains, snow fields, glaciers, cliffs and waterfalls.
The trail starts at Raspberry Flat car-park. After a 15-minute walk, you will pass a suspension bridge (this is actually the real starting point of the trail), cross the West Matukituki River, and after crossing the bridge, climb through a small canyon and enter a forest.
The last section of the mountain road is more difficult to walk on.
Occasionally, you will pass through a cliff path, but if the height difference is too great, you will have to climb up with great effort.
But most of it is still a tree-lined path, with the ground covered with intricate tree roots.
Then we walked to the end of the valley and saw the Rob Roy Glacier.
During the summer, you can see several waterfalls hanging on the cliffs, with snow and water pouring down violently.
If you visit during autumn, the snow will have covered the glaciers again.
⚠️Things you need to know before departure:
Equipped with good outdoor equipment, your trip will be easier and more comfortable,
especially in unpredictable weather conditions,
low temperatures, rain, snow, strong winds and other weather conditions may occur in any season of the year.
These valleys do not close in winter, but it does make hiking more difficult and dangerous.
⚠️Avalanches are possible in this area, usually from May to November.

We drove straight from Wanaka
passed a long gravel road
and drove through eight streams along the way
waited for the sheep to slowly cross the road in the middle of the road
followed the cattle to drink water by the stream during the climb
surrounded by mountains, snow, green land, blue sky
everything was incredibly beautiful!
