Travel Plan: 3 Nights and 4 Days Using Kobe Airport Round Trip
This upcoming trip to Japan is a 3-night, 4-day itinerary to Kobe. While I’ve previously used Kobe Airport for domestic flights, this will be my first time using it for international travel. The plan includes staying in Hiroshima on Day 1, Izumo on Day 2, and Osaka on Day 3, utilizing the Sanyo-Sanin Pass for 7 days.
For domestic flights, I’ll be flying one-way from Izumo Airport to Oki Airport and then from Oki Airport to Itami Airport. On Oki Island, there’s a cruise itinerary planned. I’ll participate in afternoon tea sessions four times during the trip. Additionally, I’ll visit the Osaka Expo during its second nighttime opening following the opening week in April.
From March to July, I’ll also attend the Ando Exhibition in Osaka. I plan to collect manhole cards in Hiroshima, Matsue, Yasugi, Yonago, Osaka, and other locations. For Pokémon manhole tours, Shimane Prefecture will be my 37th destination.
Initially, I had booked a 2-night, 3-day trip to Yonago, but I canceled it and switched to a 3-night, 4-day trip to Kobe, making the itinerary more expansive. However, I’m aiming to reduce expenses by utilizing free hotel services to save on alcohol and meals.
Although the 7-day unlimited pass allows travel to places like Tsuruga and Fukuoka, spending too much time on trains might not be worth it, so I’ll likely use the pass just enough to break even. Moreover, on Day 3, the island itinerary and two domestic flights mean I won’t be using JR trains much, effectively limiting the pass usage to about three days.
Traveling between June and September often comes with typhoon-related issues. Having visited Japan around 60 times during this period, I’ve frequently experienced flight cancellations and delays. Quick decision-making and having Plan B and C ready are essential for such trips. Regardless, my travels to Japan will continue. Thank you.
