If Osaka Kyoto Kobe have been there For Kansai travel I recommend Wakayama this line is less crowded, beautiful scenery and saves money! Day1-2 Direct bus 🚌 from Kansai Airport - Wakayama Jr Station About 40min get off and cross across is the Jr line We stayed in a hotel next to Mio, very convenient to get around. ▪️Wakayama Castle Wakayama Castle is beautiful during the cherry blossom season There are food courts. In addition to cherry blossom viewing and camping, you must try Wakayama specialty snacks. ▪️Kimatsuji Temple The cherry blossoms all over the mountains and plains are too romantic The mountain road is not steep and very short. You don't need to take the cable car. Walk a few steps to go up. I visited Nachi-san again. Time flies so fast; it's been eight years since my last visit. This time, I came during the off-season. There weren't many tourists, so the experience was great! Nachi-san is located in Wakayama Prefecture, Japan. Its Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine, Seiganto-ji Temple, and Nachi Falls are all part of the World Cultural Heritage. This time, I hiked up from the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route again, passing by the two 800-year-old "Husband and Wife" cedar trees. Beneath my feet were moss-covered stone steps, simple yet profound. Along the way, there were lush, towering ancient trees, their thick branches intertwined, and their dense leaves blocking out the sun. In the tranquil atmosphere, occasional crisp birdsongs highlighted the serenity of the place. The bright red buildings of Kumano Nachi Taisha Shrine on the mountain are particularly eye-catching and photogenic. The nearby Seiganto-ji Temple also has a unique charm, quiet and solemn. And the three-storied pagoda looks great in every photo. Although Nachi Falls is less imposing during the dry season, it is still beautiful, especially when framed with the three-storied pagoda, each enhancing the other's charm.

Most people will choose to get off at Daimonzaka and walk up to Nachi Taisha Shrine. For those who don't want to walk this 1 km uphill, I suggest you refer to my route. 1. Take bus No. 31 from Kii-Katsuura Station and get off at the last stop, Nachiyama 2. Nachi Taisha Shrine→Seigantoji Temple→Three-story Pagoda 3. Walk downhill through the forest to the Hitaki Shrine, where you’ll find a waterfall There are two options when you come out of Hitaki Shrine (1) If you don’t want to walk, go to the bus stop in front of the entrance [Nachi Falls] and take the bus back to Kii-Katsuura (2) If you want to experience the Kumano Kodo Trail, walk along the road for 10 minutes back to the terminal where you got off. Walk down towards Daimonzaka for about 15 minutes and you will see a road exit, which is the Kumano Kodo Trail bus stop. Then take the bus back to Kii-Katsuura. From the 3rd floor of the triple tower, you can see the whole picture of Nazhi Waterfall. From the front of Qinghaidu Temple, you can enjoy the wonderful fusion of the triple tower and the big waterfall in the background of the Nazhi virgin forest. It is one of the highlights of Kumano Nachi Taisha.
