The ocean view from the park is also spectacular, and it was a perfect spot for a walk! ▪️Katsurahama Aquarium A small aquarium that suddenly appears on the sandy beach 🐧 You can enjoy the atmosphere of a local aquarium, and you can feel the love in the carefully drawn pop art. Katsurahama Aquarium is famous for its mascot character, Otodo-chan, which is a very impactful character, so be sure to check it out! lol ▪️Ryuo Cape If you head to Ryuo Cape, you can also visit Kaizumi Shrine! It is said to be the guardian deity of the sea and underwater, and you can purchase sea charms, which are rare at other shrines. The sea at Katsurahama is really beautiful, and if you look closely you can see the crystal clear sea, and if you look far away you can see the beautiful cobalt blue sea, so you can look at it forever 🌊 ▪️Katsurahama Bishokukan Kami There are also restaurants nearby. I visited Katsurahama Bishokukan Kami and enjoyed the Akagyudon ☺️ The red meat was very delicious, with just the right amount of oil! There were also options such as bonito tataki, so I would definitely like to try it next time. In addition to this restaurant, there were many restaurants and souvenir shops, so it seemed like you would never have trouble finding something to eat! #Spring0yenTrip I visited Katsurahama on a clear evening, and the setting sun painted the sea and sky red, creating a truly fantastic sight. As I walked slowly along the arching sandy beach, the sea breeze was pleasant and the sound of the waves quietly echoed. The statue of Sakamoto Ryoma, standing on a hill, stood dignified with the evening sky behind him, as if he was still gazing out at the Pacific Ocean. I also stopped by Katsurahama Aquarium and enjoyed the local exhibits. Although it had a touristy feel, it had a nostalgic atmosphere and was a place where time seemed to flow slowly. The scenery and air were quiet, and Katsurahama at sunset remains like a special painting in my memories.

This time, I boarded a Jetstar flight from Narita Airport to Kochi Prefecture✈️ The goal was to enjoy some delicious Katsuo no Tataki! I suddenly craved some fresh seafood, so I decided to take a trip (lol). I rented a car at Kochi Airport and headed to Katsurahama for sightseeing🚗 While strolling around Katsurahama, I visited the Sakamoto Ryoma statue and the Kochi Lighthouse. Since it was around sunset, I was able to capture a beautiful sunset sinking into the horizon🙌 After leaving Katsurahama, I drove along the coast towards Tosashi! The main purpose of this trip was to eat Katsuo no Tataki at 'Kaizoku Ryori Shinryomaru'🕺 The menu had a wide variety of seafood dishes, and it was hard to choose, but I went with the Katsuo no Tataki set meal🤤 The roasted aroma, along with the green onions, garlic, and special sauce, made the rice taste even better🐟️🍚 Driving along the coast and enjoying delicious food made this trip feel like a little luxury✨

The statue of Sakamoto Ryoma at Katsurahama. Its pedestal is 8m high and its height is 5.3m, so it's a sight to behold when you're standing nearby. It gazes out at the Pacific Ocean. When I visited, a temporary observation deck was set up next to the statue of Sakamoto Ryoma. It is not usually set up, but it is set up for four months a year. According to Kochi City, For two months from early April every year, and for about two months around November 15th, Ryoma's birthday and death anniversary, an observation deck is set up next to the statue, allowing you to view the Pacific Ocean from Ryoma's perspective. After seeing the statue of Sakamoto Ryoma, I went down to Katsurahama and looked out at the sea. I wonder if the view was the same when Sakamoto Ryoma was alive? Sakamoto Ryoma died at a young age. He is a historical figure who is still talked about today. In Kochi Prefecture, his birthplace, there is a statue of Sakamoto Ryoma and the Sakamoto Ryoma Memorial Museum. Both are located near Katsurahama, so please visit them.
