It is considered to have a great view and menu, and is also very easy to get to. The restaurant is located on the banks of the Ping River. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas by the river. If you come in the evening when the sun is about to set, I must say that the lighting is great and every angle is great for taking photos. So when in Chiang Mai, one of my favourite areas is the riverside and I just like the idea of the riverside ambience. While the first time we went to samsen villa, it was in group. But the following times I both tried it with a friend and new acquaintances who were willing to explore the riverside dining. Firstly, before I forget if you are in a group or say atleast 4 people. You have got to try their family four course thing. We did that, costed us about 50 usd for 4 people but the food was plenty and delicious. Nice happy hour deals promoted from time to time as well. The food ofcourse as you'd expect was very nice. There us Thai and fusion. The setting is also perfect for special occasions. You've got the ping river by your side. Now the pricing may not make it for your every day or frequent list. But you see once a while you'd wanna spend on good food that comes with other advantages like the ambience. Go to work but secretly travel In the morning, I recommend Jok Ton Phayom, a shophouse in front of Kad Ton Phayom. It is an old shop that has been in service for over 30 years. It is still delicious as usual. They have added fried dough sticks and fried tofu. I recommend you don't miss it. Then walk to the market to find souvenirs in the market. My regular shop, Nong Ke, has new products that don't smell rancid. The price is reasonable. I never miss it every time I come here. Then go to work... In the evening, relax your body. Go relax at a shop along the Ping River. Sip a light drink, listen to old and new music, and enjoy the view of the Ping River at night. Sometimes there are boats sailing along the river for you to wave to. Around 4-5 pm, it's enough to relieve your fatigue. Go back to your accommodation. #ChiangMaiTravel
