Launched in 2015, the "Seoul Station 7017" project is an urban reconstruction plan to reshape the Seoul Station elevated road that was built in 1970 and needed to be demolished due to aging. history. In order to implement the "Seoullo 7017" project, Seoul City has launched an international bounty collection of design works since January 2015. On May 13 of the same year, Winy Maas's work was selected. He plans to design the Seoul Elevation as a big tree in the sky garden, plant trees from Tuegye Road to Junglin-dong, compare the lights to branches, and organically connect the 17 sidewalks announced by the city of Seoul, which will be interrupted by railways The Seoul Station area is connected to each other. Using nature as the medium, the concrete structure is transformed into a living place. Now "Seoullo 7017" has been officially opened to the public on May 20 after two years of intensive construction. The 1,024-meter-long avenue is planted with 50 trees, 228 species of 24,085 plants that can grow on artificial sites, including shade trees and perennials, and 18 convenience facilities such as cafes, libraries, outdoor stages, and flower shops. Facilities and flower pots are also used as benches, rose stage, magnolia stage and other rest spaces, providing a lot of convenience for Seoul citizens and tourists. In addition, there are also four 17-meter-high observation balconies (in the direction of Seoul Station, Sungnyemun, Jungrim-dong, and Cheongbo-dong), where you can overlook the panoramic view of Seoul. I always took the KTX from Seoul Station, but today I visited Seoulro 7017 behind Seoul Station. 🤗 -How to get there 1) Go through the rooftop of Lotte Mart 2) Go up directly from the back of Seoul Station (elevator, walk) The view of the building with the Namsan Tower between the buildings and the sunset that you can only feel in Seoul was quite attractive! The combination of the high autumn sky and the city view was fun to see:) The place that utilized the parking lot of the old building had a hip feel, and the rooftop felt like a really nature-friendly garden! It was also interesting that there was a cafe there. Seoullo 7017 , also known as the Seoul Skygarden or Skypark, is a elevated, linear park in Seoul, built atop a former highway overpass. The path, which is about one kilometer in length and lined with 24,000 plants, is similar to New York City's High Line. Skygarden was designed by MVRDV, a Dutch firm, and opened in May 2017. #0yentravelFebruary2025 In the morning, we took a bus up to Namsan Tower, enjoyed the beautiful view overlooking Seoul, and then took a leisurely walk down the autumn-covered Namsan mountain. After that, we went to the noodle street in Namdaemun Market. I had thought about taking a look at all the shops, but after passing through the plastic?, at the first shop, someone called out to me in Japanese, "Wife, wife, please come over here!" I thought, "What, you mean my wife?" and we had noodle soup there and then. Korea is so fun! The noodle soup was also really delicious! After that, we walked along Seoullo 7017 to Seoul Station. I went to the 7017 walking trail near Seoul Station to take pretty pictures. Many people visit to take pictures because you can see the pretty scenery around Seoul Station at a glance. Since you can go to other regions right from Seoul Station, I think it's a great place to visit from other regions to take pictures and see the scenery.
