I don't know how to express my affection for this place, it's located just a wall away from the First Pass under Heaven, and at night, the light show of Shanhaiguan seems to be in my own yard. The staff are all very kind, friendly, and polite, and you can feel their love for this place. The private exhibition hall in the hotel and the overall atmosphere of the hotel, I feel, have a greater impact on the cultural education of children than visiting Shanhaiguan itself. The children prefer to stay in the hotel and don't want to leave, even when it's time to check out, they are reluctant to go. The teacher in the experience hall even gave us a big peony, which was of course because it was time to prune the fading flowers, but it was still very beautiful. We felt very lucky and happy. What's special is that they are a unique calligraphy-themed hotel, which shows their sentiment. The geographical location is also excellent, right at the foot of the 'First Pass under Heaven', and rooms with a view of the pass can directly see the gate tower of the First Pass scenic area. The courtyard is also an excellent spot for taking pictures of the gate tower. What's more worth mentioning is the hotel's service. Every staff member wears a sincere smile, making it the best service I've experienced in any hotel, bar none. To my surprise, they also have their own small museum 'Wu Sangui Treasure Exhibition' and offer free experiences of rubbing and movable-type printing for guests. The works you make yourself can also be taken home for collection. All in all, the Xianting Calligraphy Hotel is a very recommendable place! If you come to Shanhaiguan, you must choose the Xianting Calligraphy Hotel!
