It is a coastal defense battery built in 1939 by the British Army stationed in Hong Kong to strengthen the defense of the southeastern coast of Hong Kong Island. The battery was abandoned after World War II, and only some buildings have been preserved to this day. Hock Tsui Battery was listed as a Grade II historical building in Hong Kong on December 18, 2009. A good place to check in. The sea water is clear and there are different types of rocks. It's very special.

Hong Kong is home to many amazing beaches and Shek O is definitely one of the best. To get here you can take a minibus from outside of Shau Kei wan MTR station, or take a taxi. #timetotravel Shek-o was recommended to us by a a few photographers friends so from our hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui we rented an entire van with our pre nup crew to take us to this stunning little village in Honkong. Instead on going to Shek-O beach we came to this rocky part and our photographer really enjoyed taking some snaps here. The calm water and the rock formations just make the entire vibe of this place very atmospheric. If you are looking for a place to take wedding photos in Hongkong then this place is highly recommended. Just look at our photos, I mean the seaview is just stunning isn't it? I haven't been to Shek O Beach for many years, and a friend suggested that I take the children there. Of course children have more fun when they have companionship. The transportation is a bit far, you need to take the MTR to Shau Kei Wan first, and then transfer to the bus to the terminal. The beach is really large, and there are several restaurants and convenience stores nearby, which is very convenient. The children had a lot of fun. In the new year spirit, I did a hike and walk with friends through the dragon’s back trail and stop at Big Wave. It was an adventurous experiences to see breathtaking views and beautiful gems of Hong Kong along the way. The weather was drop to 9 Celsius degree in the morning when we started hike. However the sun shined brightly over the day made us warm walking down from the Shek O Peak to Big Wave. If you wanted to do the same adventure, take bus number 9 from Shau Kei Wan bus terminus (opposite exit A2 of the MTR Shau Kei Wan station), get off at Dragon’s back and follow the trail. #newyearadventure #hiking #outdoor #beach

When there is a long holiday, many off-island places in Hong Kong will be crowded. This Christmas holiday, we chose to go to Shek O. Unexpectedly, there are not many people. The weather is good. We can take pictures and breathe fresh air in close proximity to nature. We changed from Shau Kei Wan to a minibus and sat there for about 20 minutes, if you take the bus this will take a little longer about 35 minutes. Because we quickly saw a red van when we arrived in Shau Kei Wan that day, we chose the minibus. When you get off the bus in Shek O, the first thing is to go to Shek O Beach, look at the sea and feel the sea breeze and the sunshine of Hexi. This is not too hot and a little windy. Basically, you don't have to look for it. You will easily see it after walking. This is also one of the landmarks of Shek O. Lover's Bridge was collapsed by Typhoon Mangkhut in 2018. It reopened in April 2021. The reopened Lover's Bridge maintains its powder blue appearance. Its other side is connected to Tai Tau Chau.
