📝 Personal Experience
Shezidao Island Head Park is one of the few wetland parks in Taipei City that combines natural ecology with a tranquil atmosphere. Covering an area of about 1 hectare, the park may be small, but its expansive 270-degree river views offer a rare sense of openness in the city.
Standing on the observation platform, you can see the bustling Guandu Temple and the majestic Guandu Bridge on the right, the towering Guanyin Mountain on the left, and even catch a glimpse of the Datun Mountain Range in the distance.
The park features stone paths and wooden boardwalks, making it easy for visitors to get close to nature. The wetland is rich in biodiversity, with frequent sightings of water birds such as egrets, little egrets, and herons. During low tide, you can also observe fiddler crabs and mudskippers, providing excellent opportunities for nature enthusiasts to explore.
Additionally, the park is connected to the Shezidao Island cycling path, making it ideal for biking or walking while enjoying the pastoral scenery and riverside views.
