During my trip to Yamaguchi, I visited Yumoto Onsen in Nagato and was recommended a famous seafood restaurant nearby that often has long lines. So, I decided to check it out! 🙋♀️ I arrived 10 minutes before opening on a weekday, but the parking lot was already packed with cars. 😳 As rumored, the place is incredibly popular! ❣️ I waited about 40 minutes, but the service was quick once seated. ☺️ The signature dish is the "Seafood Bowl." ────────────── 🥢 Deluxe Bowl (Uni & Ikura) – 3,850 yen 🥢 Isaji Set Meal – 3,000 yen ────────────── The rice bowls are super filling! ❣️ The uni was delicious, but the ikura was especially impressive. Each piece had an amazing firmness, and the taste was absolutely sensational. 😳 The set meal came with tempura, sashimi, and roast beef. Motonosumi Shrine... a very remote and private attraction! It takes about 3 hours to drive from Fukuoka. If you can't drive yourself, you can only choose to join a tour group. It has the tallest money box in Japan's shrines, dense torii gates along the coast, beautiful scenery, and it's very comfortable to blow the sea breeze! If you have time, I highly recommend it.

A wonderful place to feel Kaneko Misuzu's upbringing while appreciating her famous works. The interior of the inn is accented with the red and black of Yamaguchi's traditional craft, Ouchi-nuri, creating a chic yet warm space.
