#Spring0yentrip The Hanasaki Line heading to Nemuro, the easternmost city of Japan, has fewer stations due to a decline in passenger numbers, and there are only five trains running. However, along the way, the beautiful scenery that makes you feel like you are in Hokkaido spreads out all the time, so you can't take your eyes off it. After a two and a half hour train journey from Kushiro, we changed to a bus and headed to Cape Nosappu, the easternmost point of Japan that the general public can reach. During the 50 minute ride, we saw people drying kelp here and there. And finally we arrived. This is the first time we've been to the "edge" of Japan since we went to Cape Soya, the northernmost point of Japan, last winter, but we still feel a sense of accomplishment, or rather, that we've come a long way.
