Gunsan 1 night 2 days travel story💙
#Travel itinerary #Domestic travel
This weekend, I needed healing after a long time, so I went on a 2-day, 1-night trip to Gunsan. 🚗 Gunsan, where you can enjoy the ocean, retro vibes, and delicious restaurants all at once! It was more fulfilling than I expected. 💙
On the first day, as soon as I arrived at Gunsan Station, I headed to Chowon Photo Studio first. 🎞️ This place, famous as the filming location for the movie Christmas in August, is a space full of old emotions and nostalgia. Film camera props and old photos filled the space, and each photo seemed to capture time. 📸
Near the photo studio, there are many buildings with traces of the Japanese colonial period, such as the Gunsan Modern History Museum, Hirotsu House, and the former Bank of Joseon, so I was able to naturally travel through history while walking. 🏛️ The alleys with a retro atmosphere were also great places to take great photos, so I didn't stop taking pictures. 🤳
For lunch, I had a simple vegetable bread and red bean bread at the famous Iseongdang! 🥐 I understood why people were lining up. After that, we moved to Gyeongam-dong Railroad Village and walked along the railroad between the alleys. 🚂 The old railroad and murals created a unique atmosphere, and the sight of residents and tourists mingling together was warm.
In the evening, we had a hearty meal of fresh raw fish and spicy fish stew at Gunsan Popeye Hoejip near Jinpo Marine Park. 🍲 We ended the day at a clean guesthouse with an ocean view. 🌙

On the morning of the second day, we started by climbing Daejangbong, a hidden gem in Gunsan. 🥾 It was an easy course for beginners, and the green forest path and cool breeze made the morning refreshing. 🍃 When we reached the top, we could see the wide open ocean and Gunsan city at a glance! 🌅 It was a view that made us forget all about our fatigue.
After the climb, we moved to Seonyudo, one of the nearby Gogunsan Islands. 🚤 This small island, which can be accessed by public transportation, is impressive for its clear ocean and soft white sand. Walking on the sandy beach, soaking my feet, and leisurely having a cup of coffee at a cafe ☕ I really felt like I had a good rest.
The last course of the trip was a quiet walk near Gunsan Port 🌊 I felt full as I finished the trip with the sunset over the sea in the background.
