Skagui is
Skagui is a small town that relies entirely on cruise passengers. Just a few days ago, the last cruise ship had left here. The next batch of Alaska cruises will have to wait until May next year. Since then, it has entered the winter, and with it, almost all the shops have gone out of business.
Just a few days, the shop is so thorough and rapid, and we were not expecting it. Institutions that organize various day trips have also ceased to operate. We circled the street, and many of the shops doors read See you next year. On the streets of the entire small town, visitors are stunned, and even the visitor center and supermarkets are closed at 4 pm.
Here, we wait for the ferry to return to Juneau (not a cruise ship, but a ferry that the locals take). Because the ferry schedule is not every day. So we have reserved two days here. I just didn't expect it to be so quiet, it was so quiet. No plan, no haste, slow down, just enjoy the passage of time. It is undeniable that this palm-sized city is still very beautiful. It is known as the Garden City of Alaska.
Finally have time, slowly go everywhere, do not need to drive, use your feet to measure Alaska. We went to a variety of different trails, both difficult and simple, with glaciers and seas. Wherever we go, there is only us between heaven and earth.
