Guidebooks from Japan say that you have to climb the mountain from around Eminonu, but there is no need to go that hard. Get off at the subway VEZNECLER → Aim for the sign of Istanbul University, take the elevator and go up. Change to the escalator → Go to ground level. Cross the crosswalk where you can see the view in the second photo, walk for about 10 minutes on a gentle slope next to Istanbul University, and you will arrive at Suleymaniye Camii.
