[Kagawa] Takamatsu, the city of udon where nature and culture blend together
#Spring0yentrip
Takamatsu City is the prefectural capital of Kagawa Prefecture and a beautiful city facing the Seto Inland Sea. The first thing that impressed me when I visited was Ritsurin Garden. A Japanese garden spreads across a vast area. The green reflected in the pond was particularly beautiful and soothing. Next, I visited the ruins of Takamatsu Castle. As I strolled around the castle ruins, I was able to feel the depth of history.
Takamatsu is also known for its Sanuki udon noodles. I visited udon restaurants in the city and enjoyed the chewy noodles and rich soup stock. I was also touched by the warmth of the local people and realized the richness of the food culture.
Takamatsu City is a city filled with a variety of attractions, including history, nature, gourmet food, and art, and every time I visited, I discovered something new.

[Kagawa, Takamatsu] Great location! Sushi lunch in the station building♪
As soon as I arrived at Takamatsu Station, I headed for "Tachigui Sushi Shichiko."
It was my first time there, but since it's on the second floor of the station building, I was able to enter the restaurant without getting lost.
The restaurant opens at 10:30 and closes when they run out of ingredients.
I arrived at 11:30.
I wanted to eat their specialty tuna rolls that I had seen on social media before, but unfortunately they were already sold out!
I ordered a weekday-only special nigiri sushi set and a bottle of beer.
First, I took a bite of the sea bream.
It was crunchy and you could tell it was fresh.
All the other ingredients were delicious as well.
It comes with red miso soup and a poached egg, so 1,000 yen is reasonable!
It's a small restaurant with only a counter, and there were many people eating alone, including me.
After lunch, I wandered around Takamatsu Station a bit.
The design of the Takamatsu Station building was really cute~
The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, so I walked around looking at them🌸
