Mifuneyama Rakuen Hotel is home to Rakan no Yu, which has won the Grand Prix in the Sauna Cheran for three consecutive years. Needless to say, the sauna is amazing, with an immersive feeling that makes you feel as if you are one with nature. The men's and women's baths are switched only in the morning, so I recommend staying overnight. The hotel building itself is a little old, but it is kept clean, and the room was simple but comfortable. The collaboration with teamLab was unexpectedly fun. The experience started with checking in the lobby, where a fantastic space filled with many hanging lamps spreads out. You are immediately drawn into a surreal world. The presentation, which made use of the facilities in the hotel, such as the former large bath, was very ingenious. Of particular note was the projection mapping of Mt. Mifune and the entire garden that spreads at its base. I was amazed at the idea of ​​projection mapping the mountain itself. The fantastic space that blended nature with the latest technology was created, and it was very enjoyable. If you've been to a teamlab exhibit, you know what to expect. What makes this one special is the location. The park is beautiful with different venues spread everywhere. Some pieces resemble others featured in different locations, e.g. the pound where the carps projections are feels like the one in teamlab Planets in Tsukiji, Tokyo. That said, the location itself gives a different vibe to the pieces. Wear comfortable shoes and be careful when walking around as the place can be quite dark in some places. There are 2 gates and one opens 1 hour later, at 20:00. I would suggest entering earlier so you don't have to rush to see everything.

After exploring Sanzen-in Temple, I took a taxi directly to Kurama Station and boarded the Eizan Electric Railway for Kibuneguchi. Still wanting more, I rode one more stop forward. That's where the most beautiful section of the line passed by; it truly felt like the train was driving right into the heart of a forest – absolutely stunning! Unfortunately, I went a bit late in the day, and the weather wasn't ideal, with hardly any sun left. However, the temperature was perfectly comfortable, and a cool breeze made it wonderfully refreshing. I finally arrived in Kibune around 5 PM, and the lights were already on. Kibune isn't very large, but spending 200 JPY to try the water fortune-telling was really interesting! You place the paper fortune in the water, and after a moment, the characters magically appear.
