📍The Kitano Hotel Tokyo | Tokyo
In Nagatacho, just a short distance from the hustle and bustle of the city, there is a hotel with such tranquility and beauty that it feels as if time is flowing slowly. This is The Kitano Hotel Tokyo, a member of the Relais & Chateaux group that has attracted attention from travelers both in Japan and abroad. ✨🪄
The Superior Room has a spacious layout with a sofa and writing desk by the window and a bed in the middle. Even if two people stay, they can stay comfortably without feeling cramped.
Each room has a color scheme based on the four seasons of "spring, summer, fall, and winter," and the summer-themed room I stayed in has a refreshing blue base. I was also attracted by the detailed design, such as the wave-patterned floor. The furniture is made of high-quality cherry wood, and the warmth and high-quality feel of the wood create a comfortable stay!
The bathroom is equipped with a spacious bathtub and rain shower. It is a luxurious space where you can relax to the core of your body. The bed uses a custom-made Airweave mattress and bedding with stain-resistant and anti-allergy specifications, so you can rest assured about hygiene. It was quiet and I slept well:)🛏️
In the morning, we had two healthy Japanese and Western breakfasts at the hotel's bistronomy "LʼOrangerie Koan". The Western breakfast was Fujimori bread and a choice of egg dishes, and the Japanese breakfast was fresh and soft-tasting fish, both of which have gentle flavors and are perfect for starting the day.
At "Tea Lounge Kafu" on the second floor, you can experience seasonal afternoon tea. The "Shinryoku Afternoon Tea", which was launched in the spring of 2025, is a refreshing Japanese-Western fusion menu centered around matcha, and it's all gluten-free! You can spend an elegant tea time in a quiet space overlooking the bamboo forest 🍃
In the evening, we recommend a drink at "Kitano Arms Lounge" on the top floor. This New York-themed bar offers a panoramic view of the Imperial Palace and the night view of Marunouchi. We enjoyed the luxury of tranquility with a cocktail in hand in this adult hideaway where soft lighting and the warmth of wood harmonize.
Dinner is served in the main dining area, LʼOrangerie Koan. The delicate fusion of Japanese and Western cuisine is a masterpiece created by Executive Chef Kamo Ken, who is originally from Hiroshima. In a space reminiscent of a tearoom in an art museum, you can carefully appreciate the charm of the ingredients one dish at a time.
The Kitano Hotel Tokyo is a place where you can forget the hustle and bustle of the city and spend quality, quiet time. It is the perfect hotel for anniversaries and special occasions!
