This place has a long history, established in 1958, after 2 years of voluntary construction by the people. The name Thong Nhat comes from the wish for reunion of the people of the North and South and has been kept until now. One of the reasons why Thong Nhat Park attracts many people here is because the campus is extremely spacious and airy. Each area is clearly divided with different purposes so the park is not messy. There is an area reserved for team building, picnics, and there is also an area for fairs and festivals. The entrance fee is 5,000 VND/adult, 3,000 VND/child. If you wear gym clothes, it will be free. Apart from Thong Nhat Park, there is no other park in Hanoi that has a colorful train running on tracks surrounding the park for children to visit with super cheap tickets.
