Tokachi, a gentle yet majestic corner of Hokkaido, unfolds a breathtaking scene of golden and green hues under the sunlight. Step into Tokachi Ranch, where endless grasslands merge with distant mountain ranges at the horizon. Cattle roam leisurely, as if time itself has slowed down. This fertile land not only nurtures Hokkaido's agricultural dreams but also bears the historical marks of pioneers coexisting with nature. At the old bridge of Tanshube River, weathered bridge piers stand quietly, witnessing the passage of time and the flow of torrents. Beneath the bridge, the stream murmurs; above, the wind whispers, as if still recounting the bustling traffic and crowds of the past. In Tokachi, history is not a sealed memory but a chapter coexisting with magnificent landscapes, allowing every step to resonate with the stories and strength of the earth.

Tokachi Ranch has a 1.3km birch tree-lined street that was used as a filming location for the TV drama, as well as a ranch observation deck that you can freely visit. The observation deck is on high ground within the ranch, and from there you can enjoy views of the southern foot of the Daisetsu mountain range and the Shikaribetsu mountains to the north, and the Hidaka mountain range and Tokachi Plain to the west. If you're lucky, you might even see the grazing horses. There is no shop or restrooms, so be sure to use them beforehand. There are actually observation decks at various points in Obihiro. It's a lot of fun to look down on the vast land. The Tokachi Ranch Observatory is one of them. It was a wonderful place with a clear sky, majestic land, and Mount Daisetsu in the distance.
