I can understand if it's a towel museum, but an art museum? At first I couldn't imagine it, but after coming here I was convinced! It is truly an art museum. First, there is an introduction to the Imabari towel manufacturing process, then there are paintings of popular characters such as Moomin made from towels, Hawaiian quilts, and art made entirely from towels. There are many cute exhibits, so I think it's a spot that girls will love❣️ After the tour, there is a souvenir corner with a wide variety of Imabari towels. The very colorful museum is lined with various equipment and works 🌈 There are also a lot of photogenic spots! The Moomin exhibits were also very interesting. I was surprised that towels could be used to create such a powerful expression! The only downside was that some of the air conditioners in the exhibition room were not very effective, making it difficult to get hot. Speaking of Ehime, Imabari towels come to mind, so we went to the Towel Museum. I thought it would be about the towel manufacturing process, but there were also museum-like exhibits and a Moomin exhibition hall! Imabari City is an hour and a half away from Matsuyama City. This is a rare art museum that focuses on towels, a specialty of Imabari City. It sells towels and has a wide selection of Ehime Prefecture souvenirs, so it's definitely worth stopping by. There is also a cafe and a Chinese restaurant, and they even have an outdoor barbecue. There are also plenty of character goods, including Hello Kitty and Moomin. The Kitty objects in particular are photogenic, so it's highly recommended for Kitty fans. There are apparently some galleries that require admission, but you can still enjoy yourself without entering. Parking and admission are free, so it's definitely worth a visit.
