Recommended for those who are not familiar with the area. The Toyo Hotel (Fukuoka, Hakata) is located in front of Hakata Station. This is the Chikushi Exit of Hakata Station. The Chikushi Exit is also the closest to Fukuoka Airport. Compared to the Hakata Exit, the Chikushi Exit area has a quieter feel. There are many casual izakayas where you can enjoy alcohol. The lobby has a simple and quiet feel, and there is a sofa. There is also a microwave nearby. You can also get brochures and amenities here. Chef’s kiss — just a short walk from Hakata Station, and close to cute cafes, convenience stores, and some delicious local food spots I randomly stumbled upon. The room is cozy, clean, and super functional — nothing too fancy but it has everything I need (yes, the heated toilet seat and pajamas were a win 😂). I also really appreciate how quiet it is at night, even though it’s in the city. After a long travel day, I just needed a peaceful space to unwind, and Toyo Hotel delivered. Breakfast is Japanese-style, simple but comforting — miso soup, rice, grilled fish, and more. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like you’re living a bit like a local. I love how relaxed everything feels. 💆🏻♀️ If you're planning a budget-friendly stay in Fukuoka but still want comfort and convenience, Toyo Hotel honestly surprised me in the best way.
