Nippara Limestone Cave Nippara Limestone Cave in Okutama When you go down the stairs, you will find a ticket machine, and beyond that is the entrance. This short distance already makes you feel like you are in a hidden place. The entrance is surprisingly cold, but inside it is nice and cool. It is the perfect place for a hot summer. The highlight is a long and slender stalagmite that is about 2.5m long. It is called "Kongojo" (a walking stick) because of its length. The icicles hanging down are also overwhelming. Mt. Kawanori can be reached by train and bus from the city center, so it's very popular with people who want to go mountain climbing for a day! Earth Garden, a meat restaurant in the forest 🫶 When you step inside the restaurant, you'll be greeted by a Japanese-style space! This is in Tokyo!!!! A little over an hour and a half from Shinjuku🤏 The emerald green Lake Shiromaru♡! It was a wonderful place where you could feel the negative ions🥺 Canadian canoeing was easy even for beginners, so I would definitely recommend you try it♪ There weren't many people and the scenery was very beautiful, so please do! We went glamping in Okutama! ⛰🍖 We stayed at the "Fureai Glamping & BBQ" venue. There were six of us, and the price was 15,600 yen per person! Each tent had one large two-person bed and four futons lined up. There were plenty of amenities, such as a hair dryer, mirror, and BBQ cooking utensils (tongs, knife, cutting board, scissors, etc.), and there was also an outlet inside the tent so you could charge your devices. No large insects got into the tent (as long as you closed the entrance tightly), but small flying insects did get in, so be careful if you are worried about that⚠️ The shower rooms (2) and toilets were shared facilities. We bought BBQ ingredients at the nearby Aeon Mall. We also enjoyed fireworks at the glamping site. 🎆 At the Hibara Cave in Okutama, the inside of the cave was lit up and it was beautiful. The price was reasonable at 200 yen per person. However, inside the cave, it was cool at 10°C, and there were many steep stairs, so be careful. At the Hikawa International Trout Fishing Area, you can enjoy trout fishing. Fishing rods were available for rent for 1800 yen per person. You can catch up to five rainbow trout, and you can even grill and eat them! ! It was very delicious 😋😋 I only caught one in about an hour and a half, but my friend caught four! ! 🐟Looking around, there were quite a few fish being caught even during the day.

I climbed "Bonooriyama" in Okutama, Tokyo ⛰ This time I started from the Hanno area! If you start climbing from Hanno, you can see the streams on the side, so you can stretch out in relatively cool conditions even in the summer season! The Okutama Ropeway Site is a popular abandoned spot in Tokyo. Since the Okutama Lake Ropeway was discontinued in 1966 due to management issues, the wires, gondolas, and other facilities have been left as they were at the time. just outside of Tokyo there are many beautiful places to visit and do much nature to enjoy. you can take the subway line out to Okutama where you will find this turquoise water and peaceful scenery. There are also places to eat or do a picnic and cut cafes.

Ome River is a beautiful place to stroll along with friends and family that is near the base of Mt. Mitake in Ome. We went here on summer and had a beer while dipping our feet in the water. I like the rock formation surrounding the river making it more mesmerizing. #wintergetaway #wintergetaway

📍 Okutama Industrial Hikawa Factory If you follow the route from Okutama Station to the factory, you'll eventually come across the trolley shown in the third photo. Since the factory suddenly appears in the middle of a forest path, it's recommended to research the route beforehand, as it can be quite difficult to find otherwise. Although there are rumors that the factory operates on weekdays, it wasn't running when I visited. The factory specializes in limestone ore processing, and the conveyor belts are still actively in use today. However, the area is quite dusty, with white powder floating around, so wearing a mask is advisable. When you think of Okutama, this factory's striking exterior often comes to mind. Be sure to check it out, but make sure not to trespass while doing so.

📍Nippara Limestone Cave Address: 1052 Nippara, Okutama-machi, Nishitama-gun, Tokyo 198-0211 This place is highly recommended✨ I visited during a weekday afternoon, and there were hardly any people around. The colorful lighting inside the cave created an incredibly magical and beautiful atmosphere💎. The gentle sound of water echoing within the cave was also very soothing. Moreover, compared to other limestone caves I’ve visited, this one is more spacious, sparking a sense of adventure. I took a local bus to reach the cave, but the mountain roads are narrow and run right along the edge of cliffs. Experiencing the driver’s amazing skills is part of the fun (haha). Honestly, I wouldn’t dare drive there myself, so if you’re not confident in your driving skills, taking the bus is a better option. ⚠️ Keep in mind that the buses don’t run very frequently, so make sure to confirm the return schedule with the driver.
