By the time you visit Lombok, I highly suggest you to visit also Sembalun, a small village which renowned for the first basecamp if you are going to hiking the Rinjani mountain. This area is the first rest area before they started to hike Rinjani Mountain. Will be not a complete journey in Lombok if you haven't visit Sembalun village. Stay a night and vibing with locals. Gorgeous waterfalls, worth the trip! We paid 5K for bike parking plus 25K for entrance at Gate 2. Sure got asked if we needed a guide, but we declined and did on our own. Well marked path and not too crowded. To be fair, we even had the second waterfall just for us for a few minutes, when another group arrived. A few monkeys by the first waterfall and some more along the trail to the second one. I did the whole walk in flip flops, you don't need hiking shoes. Only had to cross a water stream once. #exploreasia

Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfall are two incredible waterfalls in the north of Lombok. The waterfalls are located in the town of Senaru, which is the area most people stay in before trekking to Mount. Rinjani. My friends and I stayed in Senaru for one full day before the trek and enjoyed a sunrise over the rice fields and then visited Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfall.

I visited the waterfalls on a Sunday and was expecting lots more people but it wasn’t crowded at all and the vibes between people there were just very nice The waterfalls are very nice (don’t recommend going under as rocks can fall but people still went) The walk between the waterfalls can be tricky but nothing intense, you’ll need to walk in the water at some points but also on rocks so maybe solid water shoes are the way to go Water is so refreshing, I would recommend having a t-shirt you’re ok to get wet if you want to swim because I didn’t see anyone in a bikini (although no one would tell you anything or would care)

There are three waterfalls. The walking times are as follows. 1) 20 minutes 2) 25 minutes 3) 3-5 hours The first waterfall is near and many people stand under the falls. The water rushes down and creates a wind force at the bottom, spraying water, creating a rainbow in the sunlight. The second waterfall is stronger and people are advised not to stand under the falls but can get next to it. 🎟️ 20’000 per person 💧 Take your own drinking water 👟 there are two areas towards the second waterfall that requires you to take off your shoes and walk through the stream Overall a great visit!

During my visit, it was raining a little bit, so I couldn't get a good picture. A bit dissappointed but feeling bless to have set foot here. Such a majestic waterfall.
