My girlfriend and I have a great meal in this famous tea shop and restaurant, TWG Marina Bay Sands. I love the salad; very fresh and refreshing with pomegranate topping. The club sandwich is so delicious, and the tenderness and freshness of the chicken is such a perfect taste for me. The tea menu has an extensive selection to choose for. Based on the recommendation from the services team, I picked the flower tea for two people with unlimited refills for the hot water. I end the lunch with sharing three scoops of ice cream sorbet. The restaurant sits snugly at the bottom of the central atrium with an unobstructed view of the sky above. In the day, the space is well-lit with natural sunlight while at night, the warm lights create a romantic and relaxing ambience. It truly lives up to its name, with rattan plush chairs and flowers along its periphery befitting a garden theme. As dining here entails a minimum order of one pot of tea per person, this tea book is a really helpful guide for the uninitiated (that’s us) as it gives a short description of every tea option available in the menu. The Sweet France tea was a burst of flowers with a hint of spice, where the flavours were fully present without being too overpowering. The Kilimanjaro Snow tea was aromatic and full-bodied with a tinge of acidity that was softened with the addition of the milk. The interesting thing about the cuisine here is that they infuse tea into all their recipes in an innovative manner. For our main courses, we ordered a Wagyu Burger and a Genmaicha Mushroom Linguine. I requested for the burger to be medium rare but it turned out to be medium (which was still perfect for me but I guess the chefs didn’t actually fulfil the brief, oops). It tasted good but not superb. On the other hand, the sauce on the linguine was fantastic! It was creamy and substantial but not the kind that makes you sick of it after a few mouthfuls. This dish was incredibly tasty and well-seasoned, with the umami mushroom flavours and an added dimension from the infused tea leaves coming through with every bite. Staff were nice and really service-oriented, we were truly impressed by the service here. These guys make you feel so welcome, it’s great. Ask the staff to take away and the cups are free without having to purchase them extra. It’s a good deal to buy a set (1 tea + 1 box of macarons) for only 20SGD. #familytrips2024 The Twg tea has been my favorite for many years. They have a wide range of tea to choose from. The shop ambiance is very beautiful and the staff are always ready to serve you. This is definitely a great place to visit the next time you are looking for souvenirs for your friends. Our dream destination is to visit Penang island. We will like to visit their Buddha temple there and explore the big temple there for our next family trips. We had fun during our last family trips there and tried out their local food there. We would like to visit there again in the future.
