Weekend getaway to Jeju: A short but fulfilling spring adventure
After working on Saturday, I managed to squeeze in a quick trip to Jeju. Arriving late in the evening, my first stop was the familiar Woojin Haejangguk restaurant. A spoonful of gosari haejangguk melted away my fatigue, and the deep ocean aroma of the seopguk made me truly feel I had arrived in Jeju.
The next morning, I hurried to Jeju University's cherry blossom path. The swaying cherry blossoms in the spring breeze made me forget my exhaustion. There were many people, but the cherry blossoms outnumbered them.
Next, I headed to Hyeopjae Beach. The sea was as stunningly beautiful as ever, and the view stretched all the way to Biyangdo Island. After a light stroll along the beach, I had lunch at Kim Manbok Gimbap.
After lunch, I passed by the yellow waves of canola flowers at Sanbangsan and quickly visited Hwangwoochi Coast as my final stop. The serene coastal scenery unique to Jeju, along with the occasional passersby, made for a short but deeply satisfying conclusion.
Though I moved around in a rush to catch my flight, it made the memories even more vivid. Even with limited time, Jeju always leaves you feeling fulfilled.
For busy people, a 1-night, 2-day trip to Jeju is just what you need.
