After visiting the Strawberry Farm, we went directly to Stobosa Hillside Homes Artwork located in La Trinidad, Benguet. These are the houses on a hillsides in Benguet painted with different colours and it was captivating to see. This place became very popular among tourists and it is considered as one of the most visited sites in Baguio. From Baguio City Market, head to La Trinidad Jeepney Terminal station on Magsaysay Ave. From there, ride a passenger jeepney to Valley of Colors. #timetotravel #baguiotrip #philippinestrip

A small hill in the busy nook that separates Baguio City and La Trinidad, Benguet used to be dull and uneventful. The shanties that covered the green hill turned this spot into an eyesore. The dangling wires, cables and flaglets added chaos to an already chaotic scene. It was a cause of concern for the town. The place is collectively known as Stobosa, an acronym for the sitios of Stonehill, Botiw-tiw and Sadjap in Barangay Balili of Benguet’s capital La Trinidad. Countless gallons of paints in multitude of colors were used to paint the shanties of Stone Hill to form an artwork that features large-scale patterns of sunflowers. The magic of colors turned the eyesore into an artwork! Today, Stobosa is considered as an icon of transformation, drawing tourists and inspiring cities from all over the country and the world. Be mesmerized by the flamboyant display of colors of the Hillside Homes in La Trinidad, Benguet - most commonly known as the Valley of Colors. The place is just situated near Baguio City - one jeepney or taxi ride from the city center (less than 5km away from the center, approx 15-30mins travel depending on traffic). The tourist spot is known for the bright colored houses in the hills which surely is stunning. It is actually a project of the local tourism department in cooperation with the residents to have their house painted in such bright colors by various local artists. You can take pictures from the hanging bridge or at the waiting shed to capture this beautiful artwork. Another great thing about this is there is no entrance fee - but there is a donation box where you can put any amount which will be used for the maintenance of the place.
