Phu Quoc 6-Day, 5-Night Trip
My partner wanted to watch fireworks at the hotel, so I planned for us to watch fireworks every night. However, after buying the tickets, I found out there are no fireworks on Tuesdays, so I arranged for us to watch fireworks on four nights.
Day 1
We landed at 12:00 PM and saw three lines with about 30-40 people each. Luckily, we had purchased airport VIP service. A staff member holding a sign guided us to a designated counter, and we were out of the airport in less than two minutes, ready to call a Grab.
Our first stop was Miss Tuen Spa for a massage. The price was very affordable—less than 150 VND for a two-hour session.
Later, we had a reservation at Camia Restaurant for a sunset dinner. Dining while watching the sunset was incredibly romantic 🌹.
In the evening, we rushed back to Le Bonheur Hotel in Sunset Town to watch fireworks. The hotel room had a large balcony with a perfect view of the fireworks.
Day 2
On the second day, we took the world's longest cable car to Sun World Nature Park to enjoy the water park. The ticket included a buffet at Mango Restaurant, which offered a good variety of dishes. After playing until the afternoon, we visited the Kissing Bridge for scenic views.
In the evening, we had a reservation at Sun Bavaria Restaurant, where we dined at a seaside table while watching the Ocean Symphony performance. It was a relaxed experience without the need to stand or wait.
Afterward, we went to the Ocean Kiss Theater to watch a show and fireworks. It's best to arrive early to secure a seat, preferably higher up, as sitting lower means facing the bright projection lights directly, which can be dazzling. This was the closest I’ve ever been to fireworks, and it was truly breathtaking!
Day 3
Since it was Tuesday and there were no fireworks, we visited Grand World Phu Quoc. In the morning, we went to Phu Quoc Safari, where you can take a shuttle bus to get up close to lions and tigers.
Next, we headed to VinWonders Phu Quoc to enjoy rides like the Ferris wheel and explore the Turtle Aquarium. By 6:30 PM, we watched a projection show at the castle. It’s best to find a seat early, as leaving afterward can be chaotic due to difficulty in calling a Grab. Many people rushed onto buses without queuing. Eventually, we met a few young people and shared a car back to Grand World, which turned out cheaper than Grab 👍.
We stayed at a canal-view hotel in Grand World for the night. In the evening, we had a reservation at Saigon Domain Restaurant to watch the Venice Colors performance. The restaurant had the best view of the stage, but it was entirely open-air, including the kitchen. During dinner, it suddenly started raining. One staff member held an umbrella over us, while another shielded our food with an umbrella—an unforgettable scene 😂. Luckily, the rain stopped by 9:30 PM when the performance began 👍. After the show, we returned to the hotel to rest since there were no fireworks.
Day 4
In the morning, we took a boat ride along the Grand World canal. The boatman was proactive in helping us take photos.
Later, we returned to Versailles for a mud bath and massage. In the evening, we went back to Venice Hotel in Sunset Town to watch fireworks. This hotel has two buildings; the best view is from the 5th floor of the first building. I stayed in the 4th floor of the second building and moved the room chairs to the balcony to watch the fireworks 😂.
Day 5
We originally booked a day tour to go island-hopping, but it was canceled due to strong winds. With no plans, we checked into La Festa Hotel early. This hotel is a must-stay for those wanting to watch fireworks in Phu Quoc. Although pricier, it offers the best view and proximity to the fireworks in Sunset Town.
Day 6
On the last day, we booked a nearby massage to relax. At 4:00 PM, we headed to the airport. The departure line had only a few people, while security had about a dozen. It took roughly five minutes to complete. Luckily, we didn’t need VIP service for departure 😂.
In Phu Quoc, it sometimes rains suddenly but stops quickly. Occasionally, it rains for two to three hours before clearing up. Fortunately, it didn’t rain during the four nights we watched fireworks, and we safely completed our mission 😌.
