For a 3-night, 4-day trip to Tokyo, on the third day, I arrived at Haneda Airport around 9:30 PM, delayed by 20 minutes from Obihiro. Due to the skyrocketing accommodation prices in Tokyo, I decided to stay in Tsudanuma, Narashino City, Chiba Prefecture. The nonstop limousine bus from Haneda drops you off just a minute away from the hotel, and the price is reasonable at around 7,000 yen. Additionally, the location is perfect for meeting a friend who lives nearby in Tokyo. Back in March, I won the Starbucks Japan Reward Ready Bag through an entry, and I’m picking it up during this trip. With this, plus the excellent breakfast offered by Vessel Hotels, it’s truly a win-win situation. The hotel is a 10-story building, with the reception and restaurant/lounge located on the 10th floor. Outside of breakfast hours, the lounge serves as a free guest area offering complimentary beverages. The hotel is conveniently connected to Keisei Tsudanuma Station via the 2nd-floor exit. I checked in around 10:30 PM and was assigned a room on the 9th floor, the top floor, with a distant view of the Tokyo Skytree. The area around the hotel is quite quiet, as most of the commercial activity has shifted to the JR Tsudanuma side. Nearby, there’s only a McDonald’s and a busy supermarket on the first floor of the hotel.🤣 However, there are some pubs where I spent time with my friend. The peaceful surroundings ensure a good night’s sleep. The breakfast is abundant, featuring unlimited servings of two types of tuna and mentaiko. Both Narita and Haneda airports are about 45 minutes away. The hotel is close to transfer stations, making it convenient for traveling to places like Kashiwa Station the next day. From the breakfast area, you can also enjoy views of landmarks like Apa Resort and the skyline of Kaihin Makuhari. Thank you.

I went to a fireworks festival with my boyfriend before we started dating, and it was incredibly beautiful and fun! Although you need to walk a bit from the station, it’s not as far as you might think. On the way back, traffic moves slowly due to signals and congestion. Ohara Shrine in Narashino City, Chiba Prefecture 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 A shrine built in Mimomi Hongo in the first year of Tenji (1124). It is the guardian deity of the former Mimomi village, and its deity is Izanami-no-Mikoto. Later, in Meiji 41, Omiya Shrine, which was located in Kamijuku, was enshrined here and there. As the deity enshrined at Omiya Shrine was Izanagi-no-Mikoto, the presence of the husband and wife deities is said to bring good luck in "matchmaking"! The grounds are home to Machiavellia thunbergii, Akagashi oak, and Kuromatsu, and are registered as one of the 100 famous trees of Narashino! Another distinctive feature is the "flower kusudama" that can be seen all over the grounds. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when people spent much of their time at home, worshippers made flower kusudama to donate to the shrine. They say they still make donations every month. #thingstodo Considering it's a sports park, I feel like the exercise equipment and place design are lacking. There are two baseball fields for small children, and the only thing you can do is knock, and the memorial statue at the end of Humming Road, which runs through Narashino City, feels very sad. The only good thing about it is the view of the river mouth and the 2km paved road along the Akanehama coast, which is perfect for running. (Bicycles are prohibited.) Apparently there is a running course along the river called Humming Road that extends to the eastern part of Narashino, but I have never been there. The park's 2km one-way course is sufficient for normal, healthy running or jogging. In addition, the area near the river mouth has beautiful views, is well-maintained with lawns, and has rockeries and benches. It would also be a good place to visit with children.

#tokyotrip I visited Kikuta Shrine for the first time, one of the shrines I've always wanted to visit as I my travel wish us to visit as many shrine in Japan as possible. The precincts weren't as big as I had expected, but it was a historic shrine and very relaxing. The shrine is known for its charming komainu (guardian dogs) The nearest station is a 10-minute walk from Keisei Tsudanuma Station on the Keisei Line. Will recommend a visit if you have spare time in Chiba
