[2025 Nagoya Hotels] Travel Guide for Vessel Inn Sakae Station (Updated Jul)

If you’re worried about how expensive Japan can be, fear not there are places where your money goes further - Nagoya is one of them! Even though it’s one of japans biggest cities it is often overlooked. However I’d highly recommend it as a cheaper alternate to Tokyo! It has the same vibes, great shopping and the food and culture you’d expect from the capital. ⭐️ Flights / airport - The nearest airport is Nagoya Chubu Centrair and it’s popular with low cost airlines. If you’re willing to travel with just carry on there are many options for you. However the airport is far from the city, the train is the cheapest option if you buy in person ( they only accept cash) ⭐️ Hotels - I’ve stayed here twice and both times I chose local chains for their lower price. The Vessel inn in Nishiki is one of the best value hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Low price, simple but comfortable room and an amazing breakfast! ⭐️ Food - This is where Nagoya really stands out, I found food options here were more accessible. Japanese chains like coco ichiban, dotour coffee, Komeda Coffee and Mos burger over big meals for good prices. And the street food areas around Osu & Sakae have every type of food imaginable starting from around $1. ⭐️ Shopping - the shopping here is amazing, along with all your big brands there are so many markets and pedestrian streets with the lowest average prices I’ve seen so far in Japan. ⭐️ Attractions - I did most of the main tourist spots and was surprised by how reasonable the prices were on average, especially with some offering deals such as reduced entry or combo deals for multiple sites. ⭐️ transport - Metro all the way! The subway here is really enforcing, really easy to use and cheap. I took the metro everywhere and was impressed by how well it connects to the best tourist areas. Overall an amazing city, and some of my most affordable trips to Japan! If you’re looking for a hotel in Nagoya and you want a great location for the best price, this is the one for you! The Vessel Inn at Sakae is super convenient with quick access to the metro and walking distance to the shopping and food districts, along with the TV tower and the Nagoya castle. The rooms are very comfortable and well thought out, with plenty of plugs and storage space. They are light and airy and I had great views of the tower! The breakfast is really good and worth getting everyday, plenty of options and a very convenient seating system. The staff are also very helpful and speak many languages making the stay even more convenient! I’d love to stay here again. #getgoing2025 #travel #solotrip #japan #nagoya

You can see the power tower. We stayed on the 14th floor, the highest building. The room type that I requested from the hotel to have a view of the power tower is really beautiful (´▽｀) The location is also very convenient. There is a 7-11 on the first floor. The hotel lobby and breakfast area are both on the 2nd floor. If you drive here, it is very convenient. The hotel has a parking lot, but you need to make a reservation in advance. There is a door on the left side facing the garage door that allows you to go around and enter the hotel. Parking fee: Check-in time 14:00 - Check-out time 11:00 the next day is 1800 yen The breakfast is also quite rich. It is very close to Don Quixote and the pharmacy.

The location is good, just a 1-minute walk from the station. There are Mirai Tower, Oasis 21, and a shopping center nearby. The accommodation is clean, and they say you can drink the water in the bathroom. The only downside is that it's small. It's too small for two people.

#cherryblossom2024 Vessel Inn Nagoya Japan is located at the city center of Nagoya Japan. This hotel is cosy , clean and affordable . The room also come with basic bath amenities . The location is excellent close to all the attractions and also the services was great . Staffs are friendly and attentive . Highly recommended if you visit here during cherry blossom season. Such a lovely and affordable stay.

It's a 2-minute walk from Sakae Station, so it's very convenient. It was in the middle of the downtown area, but there was no noise and I was able to stay there without worry. It has everything you need, a welcome drink, and is clean, so it's a recommended hotel.
