The main prayer hall, “Shim,” was the center of my visit, and it contained an elaborate altar decorated with sacred relics, Buddha statues, flowers, and incense burners. Surrounding the prayer hall were lush gardens and manicured lawns, providing the perfect atmosphere for reflection and meditation.

However, it has become a little noisy due to new businesses coming into the temple area. I was able to sit on a bench and recharge my batteries. It is well worth the 1 hour visit. A beautiful architectural wonder and a sight to behold. If you are interested in seeing more of the prehistoric Buddhist culture, I recommend Sri Lanka.
