Wat Traiphum, Phetchabun Province 🙏It is an ancient temple in the heart of Phetchabun. There is an important Buddha image of the province, Phra Phuttha Maha Thammaracha, a Buddha image in the meditation posture in Lopburi art (Khmer Bayon style), made of golden bronze with a large lap. One of the rituals is “carrying the Buddha underwater”. It is believed to be a way to “poke the sky and the earth” to make rain. After this ritual, the rain fell as requested. 🙏 Wat Trai Phum, an ancient temple in Phetchabun, is the home of the revered Buddha statue 'Phra Buddha Maha Thammaracha'. This bronze Buddha statue, in the meditation posture, is crafted in the Lopburi art style. 🏞 According to history, locals discovered this Buddha statue in the Pa Sak River in front of the temple. It was then enshrined at Wat Trai Phum.
