It is a new art and culture dissemination facility aimed at introducing the value and appeal of valuable art works entrusted to the company by collectors.
With the concept of "opening the warehouse and taking a peek at art that is not usually seen,"
the museum exhibits works by artists active in the contemporary art scene along with the thoughts of collectors.
In addition, the Architectural Depot Museum, the forerunner of "WHAT MUSEUM," which has been storing and exhibiting architectural models since 2016, has changed its name to "Architectural Depot" and continues to hold architectural exhibitions and tours of the warehouse within the facility.

📝 Mr. Okunaka has been creating large-scale works themed around 'air, water, and light,' producing experiences that stir the senses of viewers.
The exhibition title 'Synesthesia' refers to the phenomenon of synesthesia, but Mr. Okunaka has uniquely interpreted this concept and incorporated it into his works. He believes that sensing can connect nature, society, and people, and his works have transformed from traditional forms to more organic shapes.
This exhibition features a specially created balloon-like installation with a maximum diameter of 12 meters. The installation fills the entire exhibition room and changes colors. Inside the installation, there is a large water pillow. By mediating 'formless' elements such as air, water, and light, it evokes and resonates with people's senses. It is enjoyable to touch and lie down on.
Please consider visiting!

[Tennoz] An exhibition where you can learn about the structure of famous architecture🏗️
The current exhibition at WHAT MUSEUM, "Sensory Structures", has taken us from Horyuji Temple to space 🙌 More than 100 valuable structural models of famous architecture have been collected from all over the country, and it was an exhibition where you can learn about various architectural structures! From famous Japanese architecture such as a 1/10 giant model (about 3.6 m) of the Horyu-ji Temple Five-story Pagoda and a wooden model of Matsumoto Castle's castle tower, to the latest life-size model of a "lunar structure" for humans to stay on the moon, developed by JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) and Jun Sato, there was a lot of content from Horyu-ji Temple to space 🚀 There was also a collaboration between fashion and structural design such as HOMME PLISSÉ ISSEY MIYAKE, which was irresistible for fashion lovers 🫢✨ There are also talk events, performance events, workshops, etc., so be sure to check them out ✌️ Sensory Structures – From Horyu-ji Temple to Space – 📍WHAT MUSEUM 2-6-10 Terada Warehouse G, Higashi-Shinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo 140-0002 Dates: Friday, April 26, 2024 - Sunday, August 25, 2024 Time: 11:00 - 18:00 (entrance until 17:00) *Closed on Tuesdays Admission: 1,500 yen for adults, 800 yen for university students, free for high school students and younger
