The sculptures inside were more impressive than I imagined and worth seeing◎ At Yamamototei, I was enchanted by the worldview that blends Japanese and Western styles... There were people taking photos for their Shichi-Go-San ceremony. The garden looked completely different depending on the angle, and I was so relaxed that I couldn't believe I was in Tokyo. On the way home, I had some handmade soba noodles, a Tora-san set, and bought some red bean paste candy before heading home. I was able to see the candy being cut right in front of me! It was slightly sweet, and the throat candy had a hint of ginger, so I decided to go back and buy a lot more! I was very satisfied after walking around for about 2 hours◎

Shibamata is a friendly city with Beijing, China and Vienna, Austria. Yamamoto-tei is the private residence of Mr. Einosuke Yamamoto, the founder of the Yamamoto Factory (a camera parts manufacturer) who has close ties with the local area. After the Great Kanto Earthquake, the Yamamoto family moved here from Asakusa, and four generations of descendants have lived here since then. In 1988, Katsushika City bought it and opened it to the public in April 1991. Yamamoto-tei is a two-story wooden building with a tiled roof. The building has an area of ​​400 square meters, with a second floor area of ​​50 square meters, which includes a basement, warehouse, and long-house gate. It underwent several expansions and renovations between 1927 and 1930 to achieve its current appearance.
