Nanatanigawa Yawaragi no Michi is a famous cherry blossom spot in Kameoka, next to Kyoto City. A row of about 1,500 cherry trees stretches for about 1 km along the Nanatani River, making it the best cherry blossom spot in the Kyotanba region. Cars are not allowed to pass between the rows of cherry trees, but motorcycles are, making it a cherry blossom mecca for riders. During the cherry blossom season, a cherry blossom festival and market are also held. The neighboring Sakura Park also has about 280 cherry trees of 28 varieties, and the surrounding area is enveloped in spring colors.
