#cityplaybook My recent visit to Yeouido Park was a delightful experience, especially with the weather being absolutely gorgeous. Much like the "North Seoul Dream Forest" (which the park reminded me of for its unexpected greenery), Yeouido Park truly shines as a verdant haven in the heart of the city. It was one of those days where the sky was bright, the foliage was lush, and the overall atmosphere felt incredibly refreshing. It even gave off a vibe reminiscent of Jeju Island with its natural beauty and expansive feel, a true escape from the urban bustle. The park itself is fantastic for a leisurely stroll or simply relaxing amidst nature. It's spacious, well-maintained, and offers plenty of spots to just sit back and soak in the good weather. If you're looking for a peaceful escape without leaving the city, Yeouido Park definitely delivers. However, my experience wasn't entirely perfect, particularly when it came to a coffee purchase from a nearby cafe called O'Blanche. I ordered an Earl Grey tea, and to my surprise, it was served directly in a flimsy takeaway cup, seemingly steeped with boiling water and then topped with ice and water. Typically, I'd expect the tea to be brewed in a separate vessel before being poured into the serving cup with ice. This method felt a bit concerning, as if there was a risk of environmental hormones leaching into the drink. It was a bit of a letdown, and although my friend was treating, I ended up not enjoying the tea much because of it. Despite the minor disappointment with the tea, Yeouido Park itself remains a highly recommended spot. Its beauty and tranquility easily overshadowed the small cafe misstep. It’s a wonderful place to enjoy nature, take a break from city life, and perhaps even grab a delicious "sogeum-ppang" (salt bread) from a local bakery, as I happily did! I went to Blue Bottle while on a date in Yeouido!! Let me introduce it to you. 📍Blue Bottle Yeouido Address: 5th Floor, Hyundai Department Store, 108 Yeouidaero, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul Hours: 10:30 AM - 9:00 PM (Closes at 9:30 PM on weekends) Parking: Free for 2 hours with a purchase of 30,000 KRW or more Although the space isn't very large, it's a great place to have a conversation. Their signature drink is the Ice Cream Latte, and it's absolutely delicious!! Even on weekdays, it's so crowded that finding a seat can be difficult!! While Hyundai Department Store doesn't have many cafes, heading to the 5th floor for Blue Bottle is a great choice! They offer a variety of coffee options, the taste is excellent, and the seating area is bright and relatively spacious. It's nice to see more Blue Bottle locations popping up these days!!

Amazing Seoul Korea Journey !

A food trip to Korea. I just went with a big group of 12 friends. After Songkran, the weather was great. It was a bit hot during the day, but nice at night. You can wear a light jacket. We went for a picnic by the Han River in Yeouido. The atmosphere was great. We sat and sipped drinks and ordered fried chicken and boiled ramen. It was so awesome. At the stairs down from the subway station, there are mats and lights for rent. Foreigners can use their passports as a deposit, but they have to get them back no later than 11:00 PM. I really liked it and will go back many times.

#May travel support fund I went to Memildanpyeon, a famous restaurant in Yeouido, and then I heard there was a cafe on the first floor of the same building. The interior of the cafe was quite large. The prices for the coffees were a bit high. I ordered the signature menu and a dessert. Apple pie? The dessert was so delicious~

#MayTravelSupport I went to a really delicious Pyongyang Naengmyeon restaurant in Yeouido. I thought it was only for financial companies, but it was a really good restaurant. It's a buckwheat noodle restaurant that also received a Blue Ribbon. The food was so, so delicious. We waited for about 30 minutes before entering.

The warm lights and sparkling Christmas decorations combined to warm my heart. The Christmas props and lights placed everywhere added a romantic atmosphere. The highlight of the Christmas Village was the large tree and sparkling lights. Walking under the shining lights while warm music flowed, I felt like I was the main character in a winter fairy tale. The photo zones located here and there were decorated so beautifully that anyone could take a picture of their life.

The Yeouido Fireworks Festival is a representative festival that many people look forward to every year. This year, the Yeouido area was filled with festival fever, and especially Yeouido Park and the Hangang River were so crowded that there was no room to stand. 🫨 I have worked as a visitor and as a foreigner visor responder, so please be careful because there are so many people! (There was a case where a dog ran away due to the loud sound of fireworks when I came with it, so I hope you take this into consideration! 🥲) Whenever the magnificent fireworks were displayed over the Hangang River, cheers and exclamations erupted everywhere.
