This time, I went on a trip to Northeast Japan with my family at the end of winter. Since it was a self-driving tour, we rented a car in Tokyo after playing in Tokyo for three days and drove around Northeast Japan. After leaving Tokyo, we drove directly to Niigata City for three days and two nights. We stayed at the Nikko Hotel in Niigata. The hotel is located about 1.5 kilometers away from the city center, close to the beach, quiet in a busy area, and there are many seafood restaurants nearby with very reasonable prices. After staying for three days, we drove directly to Aomori City, 480 kilometers away, for four days and three nights. During our stay in Aomori City, we visited Hirosaki Park and Hachinohe City, and then drove to Sendai City for four days. While in Sendai, we also visited the Zao Fox Village, and then drove directly back to Tokyo, driving a total of more than 1,700 kilometers along the way. I would like to give you some advice here. If you are going to some remote cities in Japan, self-driving is a very good choice because there are many sceneries along the way that cannot be seen by taking public transportation.

🌸 Tohoku Japan 2025 🌸 Our cherry blossom viewing trip for the 2 of us lasted 13 days and we chose to travel to the lower Tohoku region, the countryside of Japan. We decided to travel to this area before reading an article that was widely shared that the Japanese countryside was dying. Plus, the view of the snowy mountains contrasting with the cherry blossoms is the best for me. I have to tell you a little bit that I personally like nature, so I like to see cherry blossoms in a natural way, which is cherry blossoms with mountains and rivers, more than cherry blossoms with castles. So this trip was very full. I really ate everything. This time, I ate raw fish until I had to beg for my life and I ate very delicious meat. The restaurant was full of Japanese people. I will recommend more. Because it is a restaurant with many branches in many cities, if anyone is convenient, you can go and eat at any place. As you know, the disadvantage of this area is that it is quite difficult to travel. Therefore, renting a car to travel around is probably the best option for traveling around this area.
