Unexpectedly, Shenzhen's Zhongshan Park is so captivating!!
There aren't many posts about Shenzhen Zhongshan Park, so I didn't have high expectations for this place. I only planned to take a brisk walk, enjoy some fresh air, and kill some time before heading to Nantou Ancient Town for shopping and dinner.
To my surprise, it was delightful! Right at the entrance, I saw a large banyan tree. On a hot day, walking from the subway station for just a few minutes left me drenched in sweat. I quickly sought shade under the tree, and with a gentle breeze, it felt incredibly refreshing.
Looking at the blazing sun, I really didn't want to leave the shade. As I entered the park, the view opened up—lush greenery paired with blue skies and white clouds, creating a serene and uplifting atmosphere. Right at the entrance, the neatly trimmed rows of large trees caught my eye, making for beautiful photo opportunities.
Walking further, I encountered various banyan trees in different forms. Some had intertwined roots; others had hanging aerial roots forming rows; and some had branches overlapping and entangled with others, creating artistic compositions that were both fascinating and beautiful!
Without following a specific route, I kept walking forward. Along the way, I saw reeds, towering ancient trees, verdant hills, and expansive lawns. Climbing up a small hill, turning left, then right, and continuing upward, I eventually reached the shopping street near the south gate of Nantou Ancient Town. If you don't count the time spent resting and taking photos, it should take about 30-40 minutes to walk from the park entrance to Nantou Ancient Town.
For those planning to visit Nantou Ancient Town, if you'd like to enjoy nature and breathe in some fresh air, consider taking a stroll here.
