Top 3 Coffee Shops in Sydney, Australia☕️
I will introduce you to Sydney's top 3 coffees, Single O.
Single O cafe is one of Sydney's top 3 coffees and a must-try cafe.
You can enjoy brunch as well as coffee, so it is popular not only with tourists but also with locals.
Single O cafe is located in the Surry Hills neighborhood.
Surry Hills is a hot neighborhood in Sydney with many brunch and cafe restaurants. It is similar to Seongsu-dong or Hannam-dong in Korea.
To get to Single O cafe, it is a 7-minute walk from the subway station "Central Train Station." If you take the bus, take bus number 343 and get off at the "Elizabeth St at Reservoir St" stop.
Single O cafe is so popular with tourists and locals that there is a huge waiting line, especially if you visit on a weekend morning.
I visited at 10 AM on Sunday, and they said that you would have to wait at least 30 minutes to an hour if you use the store, so I ordered takeout right away. There were a lot of people even when I took out, so I waited for about 10 minutes.
*If you ask the waiting staff directly, Yes
💳Single O Cafe adds VAT when paying by card, and 10% VAT is added to all menus on weekends
The menu is slightly different for in-store and takeout
☕️Coffee recommendations:
Long Black, Flat White, Oat Latte
🍞Brunch menu recommendations:
Banana Bread

Location: Best Western Plus Hotel Stellar Sydney
Ambience: Very comfortable and clean small hotel in a great location, close to the museum and central train station. Reception area is quite small and there is no lobby other than a cafe area. Staff were always friendly and helpful. We had a nice large corner room on the 6th floor. Overall a Hyde Park hotel. Bathroom was quite cold.
For the price we paid, we would definitely stay here again.

Firedoor Restaurant
#australiatrip
My experience at Firedoor was truly amazing. The food was exceptional, with each dish beautifully crafted and bursting with flavor. The ambiance added to the overall enjoyment, making it a memorable evening. However, I did feel a bit rushed during the meal, as there's a 2-hour limit for dining. While I understand it's to accommodate everyone.

Sydney’s old Asian brunch coffee shop
This long-established Asian fusion café is considered the most famous Asian coffee shop in Sydney. It was selected as one of the top 20 cafés in THE FOOD GUIDE for two consecutive years (2018 and 2019).
Its signature is lobster porridge and matcha coffee
*I really love this bowl of porridge. It is a rare and delicious porridge in Sydney!
and! Every June to August is the truffle season in Australia
During this period, you can go to this restaurant to eat a limited menu of black truffles.
For example: Basque black truffle cake, black truffle lobster porridge, black truffle sandwich...

Vegetarian Cafe in Hong Kong’s Grade III historic building with lush greenery
Occasionally I meet with friends, although the time is not long, but we also feel each other's current situation. This feeling of telepathy is amazing. Recently, my friend and I went to OVO Cafe, a vegetarian restaurant located in a Grade III historical building in Hong Kong. The atmosphere and food here also made my friend feel my mood again.
-
The floor of OVO Cafe is very high, filling the interior with natural light, and there are many flowers and plants decorating the store, making people feel like they are in a lush garden. Such an environment makes people relax unconsciously.
We ordered 2 set dinners including
Fresh fruit salad ~ a variety of fresh, sweet and juicy fruits
It's a Japanese soup - carrot and pumpkin soup - rich in pumpkin flavor.
Snacks:
Squid fish cake ~ deep-fried until crispy on the outside and slightly elastic on the inside
OvO Satay Chicken Skewers (Egg) ~ is made from vegetarian chicken, dipped in spices and grilled over charcoal. It has a fragrant and tender texture that makes you want to take one bite after another.
Staple food:
HK$175 Coriander, Cilantro and Shrimp Roll Linguine (Egg, Five Spices)~ It is a refreshing dish. The vegetarian shrimp roll is wrapped with fresh vegetables and spices such as coriander and coriander. The texture is chewy and the light texture of the linguine is matched.
HK$198 Vegan Cheese Impossible Meat Burger ~ Crispy bread on the outside, soft meat on the inside, and a strong cheese flavor that made me completely forget that this is a vegetarian restaurant.
-
In addition to the dinner set, we also ordered two desserts:
HK$58 Hokkaido 3.6 Soft Ice Cream Chocolate Toast (Egg) ~ Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, the Toast is filled with thick chocolate sauce.
HK$68 Mango Parfait Cup ~ The ice cream is soft and smooth, with a strong milk flavor
-
In addition to delicious food, OVO Cafe also has a homeware store "OVO" and a flower shop "OVO Garden", which you can check out after eating.

🚶♀️ Surry Hills Walk Review
I took a leisurely walk through the alleys of Surry Hills in the afternoon. It had a different atmosphere from the city, with old brick buildings, trendy cafes, and vintage shops, so there was no time to get bored while walking. There are shops and local restaurants on both sides of Crown Street, and there are many terraces with plants and outside tables on the street, creating a leisurely atmosphere.
In particular, there was always a line in front of Bourke Street Bakery, and many people took out their food and sat down in the park nearby to rest. The independent bookstores and second-hand stores in the back alleys were also worth a look.
There was traffic, but it wasn't too crowded, and the wide sidewalks made it easy to walk. It's a neighborhood that's good for walking for an hour or two, and I was satisfied just walking around with a cup of coffee.

☕ Paramount Coffee Project Sydney Review
A sensational cafe located in an alley in Surry Hills. The exterior is simple, but the interior is eye-catching with its high ceiling and unique structure. The large windows let in plenty of sunlight, and the seats are arranged in various ways, so you can come alone without feeling uncomfortable.
It was mainly composed of brunch menus, and on this day, I ordered egg rolls and iced latte. The egg rolls had a good combination of moist scrambled eggs and sauce, and the latte had a strong rich flavor.
Overall, the staff was quick and tidy, and the store atmosphere was quiet, so it was comfortable to sit for a long time. A Sydney cafe that has both a sense of space and sensibility.

A cafe in Surry Hills that catches the eye from the outside. The building is a renovated old theater, with a high ceiling and good lighting, giving the interior an open feel. The seats are also spacious, so it was good to stay for a long time.
I visited during the morning and ordered a flat white and toast menu. The coffee had a slightly sour taste and a clean aroma, and the bread was baked crispy and had a good texture. Overall, the food plating was careful and the portions were sufficient.
The staff were bright and friendly, and the flow from ordering to serving was clean. However, it can be a bit complicated on weekends because there are many people waiting. If you visit during a quiet time, you will be satisfied.

☕ Review of Paramount Coffee Project
Located in the heart of Surry Hills, PCP is an impressive cafe with a high ceiling and abundant natural light. The interior is decorated in a stylish industrial style, and there are various seating options, making it a great place to visit alone or with friends.
The menu mainly consists of dishes that are a modern interpretation of Asian and American brunch. Crumbled Egg Toast and Fried Chicken Waffle are particularly popular. The coffee is served in a variety of ways using beans from Australian and international roasters, and both filter coffee and espresso are top-notch.
The service is generally friendly, but it can be a bit slow during busy times. The price range is a bit high, but considering the quality of the food and coffee, it is understandable. There may be a waiting time on weekends, so we recommend visiting with plenty of time.

🏙️ Surry Hills Walk Review
On a quiet weekday morning, I started from Crown Street and slowly walked around Surry Hills. The atmosphere is unique because old buildings and modern stores are naturally mixed. Coffee shops, prop shops, and grocery stores line the main street, and when you enter the alley, you will see a residential area with a strong local feel and a pretty garden.
It doesn't feel like a tourist attraction, and it's a neighborhood close to everyday life, so I was able to look around more leisurely. It was nice to sit down at a cafe I liked while walking and have a cup of coffee, and the murals and small galleries that suddenly popped up added to the fun of the walk.
The road isn't complicated, but there are some sections with slopes, so comfortable shoes are a must. It was a neighborhood that was perfect for a day when you want to walk quietly.

🧢 Big Trouble Store Sydney Visit Review
A select shop located on a quiet street in Surry Hills. The interior is not large, but the structure is well organized, so the flow is clean. The main brands are mainly Japanese and American, such as orSlow, Needles, and Lady White.
The number of products is not large, but the selection is unique and the material quality is solid. A style that suits those who like a casual yet minimal mood. The price range is upper-middle-high, and there are almost no discounted products.

Cafe Kentaro is a hidden Japanese fusion brunch restaurant in Sydney's Surry Hills. Arthur Surry Hills Visit Review
Arthur, a modern Australian fine dining restaurant located in the heart of Surry Hills! The quiet and sophisticated atmosphere is impressive as soon as you enter, and the staff is friendly, so you can enjoy a comfortable meal. It only operates as a tasting menu, but each course is creative and makes good use of local ingredients.
Although there are uncommon combinations such as kangaroo dishes and king prawn potato dishes, they blend well without any sense of incongruity. The plating is also pretty, and each menu has a story explained, so the experience itself felt special.
The wine pairing is all Australian, so it feels like a local restaurant! The price range is quite high, but it's perfect for 'eating well today'.

📍Surry Hills Street Stroll Review
Surry Hills was one of the most ‘fun to walk’ neighborhoods in Sydney.
There’s nothing particularly noticeable, but you’ll find yourself stopping as you walk.
Brick buildings, old signs, terrace cafes, and quiet local shops are naturally mixed together.
Coffee-scented alleys centered around Crown Street, people walking their dogs,
and even a chair carelessly placed in front of a vintage shop all create the atmosphere of this neighborhood.
That’s why it was okay not to look for a special tourist attraction.
Most cafes are simple and sensitive.
There are many places with good coffee, and the interior and music maintain their own mood well, making you want to stay for a long time.
There are also quiet bookstores and local designer brand shops here and there, so it was fun to look around.
A different pace from the city center.
When you want to spend a day at a rhythm that’s neither fast nor slow, this neighborhood was a good choice. If you want to feel the 'whole of life' rather than sightseeing, Surry Hills is definitely an attractive place.

📍 Surry Hills Cafe Street Review
Surry Hills is one of the neighborhoods with the highest density of cafes in Sydney.
There are roastery cafes, brunch restaurants, and takeout shops lined up in every alley centered around Crown Street.
There are famous cafes like Reuben Hills and Artificer, but there are also many small cafes that operate quietly without big signs.
The interior is generally simple and stylish, and each has its own unique coffee menu, so it's fun to choose from.
There are spacious cafes that are good for sitting and staying for a long time, and there are many bar tables that are good for stopping by and leaving.
The coffee quality is generally high, and desserts and simple meals are carefully prepared.
The street itself is not deserted, but it is quiet and stable. People working with laptops, people walking their dogs, people reading books, etc.
It feels more like a 'cafe street that has permeated everyday life' than a tourist attraction, so it feels more comfortable.

📍 Surry Hills Cafe Street Review
If you want to do a proper ‘cafe tour’ in Sydney, don’t hesitate and go to Surry Hills.
This neighborhood really has crazy cafe density. You can recharge your emotions just by walking around one block.
Famous cafes like Reuben Hills, Artificer, Single O, and Paramount Coffee Project are lined up around Crown Street, and even nameless local cafes are of good quality, so you’ll have a low chance of failure no matter where you go ☕️✨
Each cafe has a completely different atmosphere, so you won’t get tired of going to 2-3 in a row. Some places are like mini galleries, while others are mid-century style with natural light.
The coffee tastes better than average, and the filter coffee lineup is really diverse, so even coffee bean nerds will enjoy it.
The desserts and brunch menus are also trendy, so it’s perfect whether you come alone or to chat with friends.
The overall atmosphere of the street is quiet and relaxed. People with dogs, people working on laptops at portable tables, typical Sydney local life 🐶🍞
This place was more appealing because it felt like a real ‘neighborhood’ rather than a tourist attraction. If you like coffee, you can easily spend a few hours here.

📍Surry Hills Street Walking Review
This is a neighborhood where just walking becomes content.
It's just a little bit outside of downtown Sydney, but the atmosphere is completely different. It doesn't feel busy or rushed, but rather like everyone lives their own rhythm?
If you walk straight towards Crown Street, you'll find stylish local cafes, brick buildings filled with posters, people sitting on terraces drinking coffee... It's all just like a painting.
There are also many vintage shops, independent bookstores, and mini galleries, so it's fun to look around even if you don't go in.
There are also a lot of people walking their dogs, and each alley has a different atmosphere, so you won't get tired of walking. At some point, you'll feel like "I'm walking in a hip neighborhood right now" 🧃🐾🌿
Messina for gelato, Reuben Hills or Artificer for coffee, and you'll have a perfect course.
A neighborhood where you'll think, "I had a great day today?" even if you don't do anything special.
