Covering over 16,000 acres in a rugged gully region southwest of the county, the park feels vast yet welcoming. Walking along gently sloping paths, we passed lush terraces, small vineyards, and wide patches of farmland thoughtfully integrated with the rolling hills. The air carried a soft earthiness, punctuated by the hum of insects and the gentle rustling of trees. It felt like a living tapestry of ecosystem restoration—every view seemed to speak of renewal and purpose.  What stood out most was how sustainability was woven into every feature of the park. Rather than decorative landscaping, we saw cableways and escalators placed discreetly within gullies to aid access while minimizing soil disturbance. Water reservoirs created from upstream rivers support irrigation, turning formerly barren slopes into thriving greenery. What once seemed unremarkable land now feels cultivated with intention, balancing agriculture, winemaking, and eco-tourism in a harmonious way. Yunji Temple is located in Wuxing Village (formerly Dujiawei Village West), 4.2 kilometers southwest of the Ganjing Town residence in Yongshou County, Xianyang City. It is commonly known as Dujiawei Temple. ❤ Recommended Reason: Historically, Yunji Temple was once one of the famous temples in the country. The temple is very ancient, and it is unknown when it was built. It was rebuilt in the fourth year of Jin Dading (1164 AD) ("Yongzheng Manuscript"), with a grand scale. During the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty, a high monk named Shi Baojin, with the Dharma name Bifeng Chan Master, emerged from the temple. Zhu Yuanzhang summoned him to Jinling, bestowed him with a robe, and the title "Ru Zhao Chan Master." Hanlin scholar Song Lian was ordered to inscribe a stele for him. The full text of the inscription by Song Lian is recorded in "Yongshou County · Zheng Zhi," and it is known as a famous stele. The Jin Dynasty iron bell, cast in the nineteenth year of the Dading era (1179 AD), is 2.05 meters high, with a diameter of 1.8 meters, and weighs over 12,000 jin. Made of iron, with a crouching chi dragon knob, it is dignified and majestic, exquisitely crafted, with clear text and patterns, and distinct wave patterns. The bell is hung on a wooden frame, and its surface is covered with dust, showing a simple and grand appearance. In the middle of the top, there is a dragon-shaped knob with clear facial features and scales. The bell body is cast with a large number of exquisite texts and patterns, divided into three horizontal bands and twenty-seven different squares by intersecting double ridged strings, with the two squares in the middle of the upper band each cast with the eight characters "Long Live the Emperor" and "Minister's Blessing for a Thousand Autumns" in regular script, and the three squares on each side each cast with four Buddha statues sitting on lotus thrones. The lower squares are engraved with the county name at the time and dozens of village names, providing precious historical evidence for the study of place names and administrative systems. ▶️2. The stupa, located to the west of the Great Compassion Hall, houses a stupa containing the relics of Zen Master Bifeng.
