The layers of soil are not all a single yellow color; they change to red, purple, white, and gray depending on the light. Here, the knowledge of "Yuanmou Man, one of the earliest ancient humans in China" in the textbook comes alive, and the books shine into reality. The museum is free, and there are free lectures at 10:00 and 15:00 every day on the opening day. After visiting the museum, you can stroll along Fenghuang Lake Park to Yuanma Farmers' Market. It is a good choice to buy some local fresh fruits. Chenji Jiangbian Liangfen in the market has a good reputation. You can try it. I personally think the taste is quite satisfactory. If there is a long queue, you don't have to wait specially. The "Bingxue Fengcheng" at the entrance of the market is a must-drink in Yuanmou! It insists on using fresh seasonal fruits. The signature "tomato and egg soup" is worth ordering. It sounds a bit like dark cuisine, but it is actually a signature fruit tea made from a variety of fruits.
