This was an excellent trip. Yo yo our guide wrote to us the night before conforming pick up location and timing details. When we arrived we were greeted by her and all of the procedures were explained clearly. The bus takes about an hour and change to drive up to the mountains to get to the wall. When we arrived at the first restored section of the wall our guide handled all of the check in details for us. We took a funicular up to the restored section of the wall on a hot day. There were a decent amount of other tourists up there (mostly Chinese) but it wasn’t crowded. Yo yo advised us on the best views and the best ways to explore to avoid getting lost as there are many access points to the restored section of the wall. The way you go up is the way you come back down. We had roughly two hours to explore and we used it. After this we met back up at the bus and went to a second unrestored section of the wall. The first section was impressive but this section was magnificent. 10/10!!!!★

The driver was great and accomodating and he was timely as well for the entire trip. However there were some issues with the description of what was mentioned in the programme. It stated that Simatai was one of the locations that would be included in the programme. However, there was a requirement to pay additional 200 yuan for this. Therefore the description of the programme was misleading. Other than this everything was smooth!
