Gorgeous countryside viewing on the 2hr trip to the caves. Our guide and driver Matty was informative & friendly. The caves, whilst fascinating, was let down a little as you are not allowed to take any photos inside. You have the obligatory photo before entering the cave and they superimpose you onto images that you can purchase at the end of the tour. The glow worms and the cave system was interesting but I was expecting a lot more to be honest. I would rate the caves 7 out of 10.
A one hour drive across to Hobbiton and wow! This is the most professional and well-run tourist attraction. It is such a magical part of the world and during lambing season. It was just so gorgeous. The actual movie set itself is otherworldly and surreal and you feel you are on a different planet. I would rate this tour a 10 out of 10. our guide, James was amazing . I cannot fault this tour at all. Long day but very well organised. ★

The experience in Auckland was fantastic! Our guide was very friendly, caring and knowledgeable. He introduced each viewing spot as we passed through each town, like a lesson on the journey. Afterwards, we came on a Spellbound Fireflies and Cave Tour. The guide introduced us to the formation of stones and caves. The caves and fireflies were amazing! The sparkling fireflies created memorable memories for us. What a wonderful trip!
Great experience in Auckland! Our guide was so nice, caring and knowledgable. He introduced every viewpoint when we pass through each town. Just like having a lesson through the journey. After that, we arrived to the Spellbound glowworm & cave tours. The guide introduced the formation of stone and cave for us. Both of the cave and glowworm were stunning! The shinning glowworm created an unforgettable memories for us. What a nice trip!★

The whole family had the most amazing day with Murray visiting thr Hobbiton village and the Glow worm caves. Murray was extremely knowledgeable and explained things and places with great detail. Bush and Beach are lucky to have him.
He made sure we had a great time in the bus, while we stopped for a coffee break, at the movie set and the caves. And all through the drive as well. ★

Such a great trip! Grant (or Grant but in a kiwi accent) was a great tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the culture and history during the long van rides. Glowworm caves were cool but the highlight for me was definitely the geysers. The whole experience was great and am so grateful that they offer a trip like this including transport since Rotorua is quite a distance away.
Note: this experience did not include a Māori performance or haka. If I read the description better I wouldve known that but that is the only thing I was a little bummed about. The experience is great, but just note what is actually included if thats what you are looking for.
