    Storm flooding impacts routes between Exeter St Davids and Okehampton / Barnstaple

    Related Information:Recent adverse weather as a result of Storm Chandra has caused flooding between Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple / Okehampton. This has closed all lines running between these stations. This means that trains are unable to operate, and have been cancelled. Disruption is expected to continue until Monday 16 February. Customer advice: The flood water still has not yet receded between Exeter St Davids and Okehampton / Barnstaple, and much of the surrounding area is under water. A limited return coach service is in operation between Exeter St Davids and Barnstaple, and also between Exeter St Davids and Okehampton. This service will be a full sized coach with limited seating. Roadworks on the A377 in the Eggesford area today may cause rail replacement services to be delayed. Please check online journey planners for the timings of the the rail replacement services. Ticket acceptance: To further assist you with your journey, your ticket can be used at no extra cost on the following Stagecoach bus routes: 5 between Exeter Central (New North Road), Newton St Cyres (Belluno) and Crediton (Station Cross). 5A Exeter (bus station), Newton St Cyres (Belluno), Crediton, Copplestone, Okehampton. 5B between Exeter (bus station), Newton St Cyres (Belluno), Crediton, Copplestone, Morchard Road and Barnstaple. 5C between Exeter (bus station), Newton St Cyres (Belluno), Crediton, Copplestone, Morchard Road and Lapford. 66 Exeter (bus station), Exeter St Davids station, St Thomas railway station, Pathfinder Village, Tedburn St Mary Garage, Cheriton Cross, Good Knight Inn, Whiddon Down Post Inn, Sticklepath Devonshire Inn, Okehampton Fore Street Arcade, Okehampton railway station. If you wish to drive to Tiverton Parkway, you may use your ticket at no extra cost on Great Western Railway services between Tiverton Parkway and Exeter St Davids, in both directions.

    Track flooding and bridge damage disrupts routes between Liskeard and Looe

    Related Information:The line between Liskeard and Looe remains closed following a period of recent heavy rain which flooded the track. The heavy rainfall, combined with high tides, have resulted in the water levels at several bridges along the line being above the level which allows for trains to run safely. Investigations took place once the water levels receded, and the results of the investigations have confirmed some damage that will require repair work. This will need to be carried out before the line can be reopened and trains are able to run again. No trains will operate between Liskeard and Looe. Rail replacement transport will run as stated below. Currently, trains are not expected to run on this route until at least start of service on Saturday 7 March. Customer advice: Replacement minibuses will operate at train departure times from Liskeard and Looe. The designated stops for the replacement road transport are as follows: Liskeard - at the front of the station. Sandplace - bus stops by the station entrance. Looe - at the front of the station. If you are travelling to / from St Keyne Wishing Well Halt or Causeland please call Great Western Railway customer services on 0345 700 0125, or use the station help point for taxis to be arranged.

    Landslip impacts routes between Wakefield Kirkgate and Sheffield

    Related Information:A landslip in the Darton area means the line is blocked. Trains running between Wakefield Kirkgate and Barnsley will be cancelled or revised. Buses are running between Wakefield Westgate and Meadowhall calling at Wakefield Kirkgate, Darton and Barnsley to help you complete your journey. Disruption is expected until 04:00 on Saturday 14 February. What's happened? Services between Wakefield Kirkgate and Barnsley are currently being disrupted due to a landslip. Network Rail are on site carrying out repair work. How does this affect my journey? Trains are unable to run between Wakefield Kirkgate and Barnsley in both directions. Services on the following routes will be affected by this disruption: Stopping services from Leeds to Sheffield via Barnsley - these services will start from Barnsley for stations to Sheffield. Stopping services from Sheffield to Leeds via Barnsley - these services will terminate at Barnsley. Between Leeds and Nottingham - these services will operate between Sheffield and Nottingham. Between Leeds and Lincoln Central - services will be amended to run between Sheffield and Lincoln Central. Train services running between Leeds and Sheffield via Moorthorpe will be unchanged. Fast services between Leeds and Sheffield via Moorthorpe will call additionally at Meadowhall. What should I do? You can travel on the following train operators and routes at no extra cost: TransPennine Express services between Normanton and Wakefield Kirkgate. East Midlands Railway services between Sheffield - Nottingham. Northern train ticket restrictions have been lifted in the affected areas, including Advance and Peak restrictions, during this disruption. Restrictions will be reinstated once the disruption ends. Road transport: Road transport has been confirmed to run as follows: Wakefield Westgate to Meadowhall calling at Wakefield Kirkgate, Darton and Barnsley - departing at 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00, 21:00, 22:00. Meadowhall to Wakefield Westgate calling at Barnsley, Darton and Wakefield Kirkgate - departing at 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00 ,21:00, 22:00. Leeds to Sheffield via Barnsley - departing Leeds at 23:10 and calling at Woodlesford, Castleford, Normanton, Wakefield Kirkgate and Darton. This bus will then do request stops between Barnsley and Sheffield. Barnsley to Leeds - departing Barnsley at 23:15 and calling at Darton, Wakefield Kirkgate, Normanton, Castleford, Woodlesford and Leeds. Please check station information posters for the location of the bus pick up points and be advised that bicycles, e-bikes and dogs (except for service dogs) are not permitted on replacement road transport.
