Food was great and fairly quick, staff were friendly and efficient. Right beside the river, ideal for walking the dog before our meal and he was made welcome by the staff as well.

We enjoyed a very nice Christmas meal at The Crown. We booked a table at 7.30pm and did have to eventually approach a member of staff to seat us as we were left standing for a while and werent being greeted. Once we were seated our waitress was lovely, very friendly and helpful and we cannot fault her at all. Food was nice apthough we werent very taken with the Christmas menu so all decided to opt for the standard menu. There were a lot of children in the pub so it was quite noisy at times with a lot of Christmas excitement and screaming. This was ok for us but a romantic meal might not have been ideal on the evening that we dined. All round a very nice evening with just a couple of negatives. Many thanks.
The staff were very good, helpful and pleasantThe food was goodThe setting lovely, even the cloudy August weather didn't affect the afternoonThe 2 servers were a delight when I asked for one candle to celebrate an 82 yr olds birthday and they found one which made his celebration table 61 12.30Thank u
It’s the first time we have dined here and we would highly recommend it. We called in on the afternoon for drinks because of the outdoor setting and the food looked lovely so we decided to book a table for the evening. Ellie was our waitress and she was really welcoming, attentive and friendly and the food did not disappoint. We will most definitely be back!
This is my second time here in 3 days, so they must be doing something right. ????Staff are really friendly, food is really good and excellent choice of beers. However, the menu is a cracking one for the winter, but we are having some warm weather, so it does need to revisit its menu. Those serving just are clueless on the wines, my guess is that they need a bit more info on there tablet. They should have the answer if someone asks which country did the Malbec come from.Lastly, if we have wine in our glasses, or half a glass if beer, stop asking if we need more drinks. The moment we are almost finished or finished staff should ask.If someone is still eating, don’t try and clear the plates of those finished.Just not doneBut, it is a great location, lovely place and I will go back. The staff just deserve to be better managed and taught.
