Hawaiian Style Cafe - Waimea

The meal was amazing, the portion was easily enough for two (one and a half) meals via doggy bag. The pancakes were flavorful and the haupia syrup incredibly aromatic.

The restaurant is not small. As soon as we entered the restaurant, my daughter accidentally spilled the drink she was drinking, and it spilled onto the clean floor. The waiter immediately came over with a rag and squatted down to carefully clean it, which made me feel quite embarrassed. The most famous dish here is of course the authentic Hawaiian local cuisine, and of course the most authentic one is roast pork, but this dish is only available on Saturday afternoons. It is said that making a roasted whole pig is quite sophisticated, which is understandable.
