Le Vaudois

This is a very good Italian restaurant in Lausanne. It is very popular and must be booked in advance. The cheese fondue here is very good. After the large piece of beef is put into the hot pot, the milky aroma overflows and the taste is so good that it is absolutely delicious. The price is quite expensive, but it is still worth it.

This is a nice homely restaurant with friendly service, good menu and a selection of different beers on tap including an excellent American IPA. We booked am hour and a half ahead of time and we're glad we did as it was 90% full when we arrived, but our table had been reserved as promised. We went for the fondue, which was good, but only served with bread, unless one opted for potatoes etc. at additional cost. The salad, steak, chicken and fish dishes were all good and served in a reasonable time frame. A large selection of wine by the glass, half carafe or bottle is available at fairly reasonable (for Switzerland) prices. Highly recommended for a family get together.

Le Vaudois, a famous restaurant in Lausanne~ We opened a bottle of red wine to celebrate this meal. When we were in the last few days, everyone's physical strength could no longer support the rampage, and the daily schedule turned to relaxation and enjoyment~ This meal was the Swiss national dish cheese fondue~ We ordered red wine cheese fondue, which was a little different from the ordinary traditional cheese fondue. The bottom of the pot was red and exuded the aroma of red wine~ Cheese fondue is one of the traditional foods in Switzerland. It is not surprising that Switzerland has many traditional cheese foods. The most famous ones are cheese fondue (Fondue) and cheese board (Raclette). Both dishes are made with melted cheese, filled and heated, so they are usually eaten in winter.

Very traditional café with soft and cosy ambience. The place feels so spacious!Very traditional food but still delicious, and the portions are substantial.
