La Bastide de Venelles

Beautiful restaurant, great staff and excellent food. Comfortable terrace with a view of St. Victoire. We will definitely return!!!

Our B&B in Aix-en-Provence recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. We had a delicious meal with generous portions and amuse-bouche - so much so there was no room for dessert. But the most amazing part was the view over Mont Saint-Victoire and the surrounding countryside. As the sun set it was almost as though we were in a Cezanne painting! Absolutely stunning.

The food was delicious, with the fish properly cooked and the steaks just exactly as requested - medium rare. The vegetarian appetizer that one of our party enjoyed was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. We shared one excellent dessert. Our server was pleasant and attentive. They have a lovely terrace that we would have enjoyed had the weather been cooperative.

Great food and service. However,, We were having to swat away flies while eating. Very annoying !!!

The restaurant is located opposite the Sainte Victoire and in a wooded area which makes the atmosphere of the dining room full of the sweetness of our Provence. The cuisine is excellent. I will come back very soon.
