We just stumbled upon this place but am so glad that we did. The atmosphere on the outside patio was great to start with and it is all enclosed which was great because it was a bit chilly... the waiter was so great I had a lot of questions and also requested ice which he quickly got and answered all the questions. He also brought an appetizer to start with he said for a welcome that was great. We both got one of the steaks mine had the balsamic reduction and the flavors were amazing. We also had a salad with a lot of fresh veggies. It was very reasonably priced I was actually thinking the bill would be more than it was. Would highly recommend this place!

My wife and I were meeting an Italian friend in Siena and neither of us knew the city well. We wanted a restaurant that was easy to find, and this one is, set in a wide and sunny piazza within the town walls of Siena. Imagine what a lucky break it was for us, that the restaurant was a really good one. Being where it was, and how it looked, we were worried that it could be a bit too touristy. I'm sure you know what I mean, but the However, we enjoyed a relaxed and enjoyable lunch. I had the gnocchi, which was excellent - soft and creamy. Our friend had the swordfish which she pronounced superb. My wife enjoyed a salad with salmon gravellax which she too enjoyed. We had started with a shared antipasto. We each had a glass of wine. Excellent and only 2€ per glass. The staff are attentive and professional and we would very gladly eat here again.
Right next to Siena's main post office and shopping center in Piazza Matteoti, two steps from the city's bus center Piazza Gramsci, this large bar is very popular with locals, open from morning 'til late, offering an aperitivo "happy hour" with ample buffet of finger food. Upstairs tends to be a bit tight and stuffy with loud music, but that's there the snacks and drinks are. If you want to have a conversation with a group of friends, there are more tables and a somewhat quieter space downstairs.
Nice place, not too touristy, good Italian food, slow service, feels like you're really in Tuscany.. nice wine, too
Food is good and aperitivo is super worth it. Highly recommend!
