Opened as a Jobu Railway station in 1903, it became a Chichibu Railway station in 1916 when the company name was changed. The retro station building matches the mountains of Chichibu very well. The Chichibu Railway has a one-day unlimited ride ticket, so if you plan on getting on and off multiple times, it's a good idea to buy a ticket that suits your purpose.
